Transbrake-NOS wiring diagram with bang button

Subscribed. Going from turbo cars to juiced cars? Seems like most people go the other way. Thinking of putting my Duster on the bottle, but really have no idea how to set up a NOS system.

    indy/rhs headed 408 timeslips(combos)

Not sure what it weighs, but it doesn't have a heater, wiper motor, or outer front bumper brackets, and I cut out most of the huge rear bumper bracket and cut away most of the bumper dampners. In all, I've probably gutted 150-200 lbs from it. Still has a full interior, for now. Probably...

Was that a chassis dyno, or engine dyno? Just curious because mine is 512 HP/ 526 TQ at the crank, and the best I've been able to do is a 7.06 in the 1/8. That's with a manual shift, reverse pattern 904 and dana 60 with 4.10's out back. It's in my Duster.

    Collector Size

As of now, the plan is 3 1/2" X 12" merged collectors (Hooker) into a 3" reducer with Hooker Max Flow or Dynamax bullet mufflers. Thinking of going 3 1/2" all the way through, but worried it might be too big.

3 1/2", or did you step it down to 3"?

    Collector Size

Not talking about the tubes, they are big enough. I'm talking about the collectors. Shifting at 6500 but still experimenting
  10. 64physhy

    Collector Size

yes, they come with 3" slip on collectors. To change them, I simply have to slide the 3" collectors off and slide some 3.5" collectors on. I've found all kinds of conflicting info. Some say 3.5 is too big, and some say it's good for racing, but not street. The car isn't a street car other than...

    Collector Size

    Engine, 414 stroker, dynoed at 512hp and 525tq through a set of 1 3/4 hookers. I ran it for a while through a pair of Dougs and ran very consistent 7.17 @ 95mph in the 1/8, with a best 7.06 through a 2 1/2 x pipe exhaust with cutouts. 1.55 60'. I installed some hooker 5303 1 7/8 headers, but...

    74 Duster weight loss program

Tyrone, are you running it in Douglas? I took the rear bumper shocks apart and cut the internal rod off so i could slide the bumper in more for a little better look (but still sticks out on the sides). When I got the bumper in as far as I wanted, I drilled and tapped a couple holes in the shock...

    Spring perches measurement

Are there perches on it now that you are just moving? If so, put them at the same angle. I don't know what angle mine are, but I had to use shims to get it nosed up enough. I think I have 4 degrees in shims, but would rather have the perches at correct angle than to have the shims.

    What should it run?

Low to mid 11's. I'll go with 11.23 for the prize.

    indy/rhs headed 408 timeslips(combos)

Their ratings are accurate, too. Mine are ported by them, and Brian at IMM flow checked them, and they were right on what Hughes claims. Mine have the full porting with big valves.

    indy/rhs headed 408 timeslips(combos)

I'm damn close to that with iron heads. A little more tweaking on it, and I'll be there. Ported Iron Ram heads. Fastest so far is a 7.06 in hot weather. Just put bigger headers on it and lost about 100 pounds, so it might be there already...haven't run it yet.

    hughes big mouth heads

The work I got done by Hughes flowed exactly what they advertised when verified by Brian at IMM. It wasn't the big mouth heads, but shows that they advertise accurate numbers.

    60' help

Did you take it back out yet? That 60', ET, and MPH is pretty much identical to what mine was when I was at 7.35. Granted, I have a totally different setup, but it doesn't seem that far off.

    weight reduction ideas.

I have a 74 Duster, and just lost about 60 lbs by cutting up the gigantic inner brace on the rear bumper. I cut it so only the part where the 3 mounting bolts go in. I also took apart the bumper dampners and cut off the inner shaft and drained the fluid out of them. Doing that allowed me to get...

    Trunk bulkhead thickness?

I put a fuel cell in my trunk, and remember seeing in the rules that you need a wall between the trunk and passenger compartment if the cell is in the trunk. I can't find my book to look it up, but I was thinking it needed to be 1/8" thick, so I bought a sheet of 1/8" aluminum, but it looks like...

Wow, I never knew this. I've just done T&T and the annual antique drags, but I've always just gone up and staged. Never waited for the other guy to stage or pre-stage first. Nobody's ever said anything to me about it or seemed pissed off. They just wonder how such crappy looking Duster just...

    What size electric fan?

Thank you. I haven't been really happy with this fan so far. Seemed to stay a lot cooler with the flex fan i had in it, and if I forget to turn it off after the burnout, it draws so much that it screws with the ignition.
