how fast are you guys going with the 360x heads
wanting to get a look at a few different setups

408 12.5 compression Rhs heads Hyd roller .570 lift, 3000 stall(stock/ tweaked converter)
4.56 gears out back, 10" slicks, in 3760 pound car at 6600 foot elevation.

Runs low 8s. With a good converter it will be into the 7s(1/8 mile of course)

prolly around 400 or so made 330 at the back tire with a 727 trans and 4.10 gears

I got a form next to yours it's 69 dart 340 4 speed I think can you post your combo on my form thanks.
68 340
Bored 30 over
Ported x heads
509mp cam
Edl performer rpm intake with 1inch carb space and 750 edl carb
Ect had 425crank when I got it should be over 450 hp now. And good for low 11s

I'm running the EQ iron heads which are very similar to the RHS heads.

Here's my combo back when I ran it 3 yrs. ago. 408, 9.9 to 1 compression, solid flat tappet 240 at .050 and .500 lift at the valve after lash, eddy air-gap, 750 Holley, hooker 1-5/8" headers with full 2-1/2" exhaust, 727 with a 3500 stall, 3.55 gear with a 28" tall Nitto drag radial. Stock leaf springs with no traction devices so getting it to hook was not easy. Had to come out of the hole at 1/2 pedal then mat it a couple car lengths out. 1/8th time and speed were 7.96 at 89 and 1/4 was 12.24 at 112. Car weighed 3725 that day.

I know their not the exact heads you asked about but hope it helps some

Brian's Duster went 6.93-6.94 at 96 IIRC with the Car Craft 408, 485 hp engine through mufflers.

Just like hellcat threads, I'm sure some people troll away about how iron heads are no good. :)

This message is hidden because stroked340 is on your ignore list.

We will see they are sitting in my shop waiting for the machine work on the block
To be finished. Fully CNC ported Flowing in the high 290s.
I'm a little nervous But confident.

1971 Demon
Weight 3160 with driver.

.060 340, stock crank & rods, KB replacement pistons.
Heads - stock 576 castings with 2.08 int/1.60 ex, port matched & bowels blended to the valve size.
Cam - MoPar solid, 528 lift/284 dur.
Hughes rockers 1.5 ratio
Intake - Holley strip dominator with 750 DP holley.
Ign. - mopar dist with MSD 6AL box & coil.
Headers - 1 3/4 Hooker

Trans - low gear 904 with 8" Coan convertor

Gear - 4.30

Best ET* 6.96 in the 1/8 with killer air.
It will average 7.00's in the Fall of the year & 7-teens in the heat.
60ft's depends on the air, 1.49-1.53.
I leave the carb alone for the whole season.

It runs out of steam @ 6500 due to the OEM heads.
It is a hard running 340.

This may sound way out there but I'm looking to run close to the 6.50ish. Range

I've got a 408 planned.
It will have the Hughes "Big Mouth" heads on it, with their cam & rockers.
hoping it will be a 6.50 engine when its done.

I'm damn close to that with iron heads. A little more tweaking on it, and I'll be there. Ported Iron Ram heads. Fastest so far is a 7.06 in hot weather. Just put bigger headers on it and lost about 100 pounds, so it might be there already...haven't run it yet.

Instead of leaning on the forum, why not install them take a run and let us know, and contribute?

I have the the 1.92/1.6, they work great. My bet is they will run with the best of the iron heads.

Look on http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/...aW5kZXIgSGVhZHM=&level2=SXJvbg==&partid=25680 for the CFM ratings and such. They are no joke.

Their ratings are accurate, too. Mine are ported by them, and Brian at IMM flow checked them, and they were right on what Hughes claims. Mine have the full porting with big valves.

that is with iron heads..

I didn't finish my engine build up in time to make any runs this season but I'll check back in next year and give a full report.

10:1 416 with IMM CNC ported RHS heads, 251/259 @ .050" solid FT, 904 with Dynamic 9.5" converter, 4.10 gear. Should be in the low 11s easy if the driver can make it happen.
