On the 65 and 66 k-frames there are a visible datecode on the underside on each side of the screwhole where the bracket to the front valence mounts. Some Detroit built cars also have some partnumber on the frontside of the k-frame.
You need to adjust the cable down at the transmission. That'll take care of the problem. Untight the screw that's holding the adjustment plate and adjust the plate to correct level. Good luck
There was only small upper ball joint availible for 65 Dart. If you need the large ones you need to change the upper control arms to newer ones. 67 - 76
I have an artical from Modern Rod where they were going to dragrace with a 1965 Dart Charger. In that magazine there is a tech dept and according to Dick Landy who was the tech editor they used 1962 Dart rearends due to more options for gear ratios.
