    Re the brake drums all 65 A-bodys had 9" drums up til mid October when 10" brakes arrived on the scene w/273 V8 or heavy duty brakes.

    What I know of the Spanish built Darts (Barreiros) used the standard 9 inch brakes for cars with 225 slant six and 10 inch brakes for cars built with V8. I have a Barreiros broschure and it says 9 inch. Let me know if you can't find brake shoes. I have them and can ship within EU without tax!

    Power Brake Hose Check Valve ('65 Formula S)?

    For 1965 and 1966 Chrysler used a inline Bendix check valve. The right pipe connects to the lower pipe on the booster and the lower pipe on the check valve connects to the intakt. The upper pipe on the booster connects to the vacuum tank.

    '65 Formula S always have 10" inch drums on front or some had 9"?

    In 1965 you could order a brand new Dart 270 4 door sedan with a 273 and automatic transmission. Came with 9 inch brakes. My buddy Johan owns it. Second owner. I have a 65 Dart GT that came with same drive line. 9 inch brakes all around. Both these cars was assembled in October of 1964.

    Power Brake Vacuum Cannister Exclusive to Formula S?

    What I know off all 1964 to 1966 A-body cars equipped with power brakes also came with the extra vacuum canister. I have seen hundreds of cars with p/b but no car without canister. However the hardest part to find for this setup is the factory Bendix check valve.

    Drum color

    I think from 68/69 they were painted red. However my Dartcharger might have had yellow painted drums. Not sure though.

    front parking brake cable

    Take it off the parking brake lever and at the buttom. Put the wire in a cag of diesel when it starts to free up move the wire in/out til is goes smooth. Then put it in a cag with oil and let it soak for a day or two. Woila, it will be as new again!

    What I heard of cooling the drum the reason. At least I was told that by a Chrysler mecanic here in Sweden.
