Get your self some oil and squirt it on the gear, cover it well where it meets the cam. They have a tendency to stick a little. If you have access to a good size flat head screw driver maybe one that has a wrench type nut on the bottom of the handle if not then use a crescent wrench on the flats...

This 340 motor that I have installed in this 68 barracuda has 360 heads on it. They are 3769974 heads they have the 202 intake valves and the 160 exhaust valves all new stainless. My question is are these heads like the other small block la heads that have the water jackets in the front and back...

Yes that is the lower crank pulley that I am looking for. If you look closer to the top of this thread Jim (RealWing) sent me pictures of his original 340 with air and power steering lower crank pulley and it looks just like your's. The part number is 2536752 but the problem is that the part...

I am going through the same thing. My 68 had no drive train in it at all, and it is going to receive a 1971 340 but I have installed the 1968 timing cover, water pump, and balancer. I have picked up most of the A/C parts and the power steering unit was in a box of parts that came with the car...

That does look like the one I am being told that I need, but like you said no one has a part number. I started that thread that you have listed above and if you go back in it, it states that none of the pulleys in this thread are for factory A/C cars and that pulley you have there is not in that...

Thank You I just printed them out, but what does that mean "Air Conditioning Adapter Package" are these parts that were used with the dealer add on Air or are these just parts that were used from the factory for factory Air cars ?

Is there anyone out there that has a balancer even if it is not for sale just for the picture sake that if you put the key way at 4 O'Clock and the timing mark is on the passenger side. Bob
