    Any Spray paint tips

also depends on the temperature where you are spraying. As a general rule, lacquer does not lay down wet, you need to cut and buff it. Also, there are different thinners to use depending on the temperature (some evaporate faster than others). As was said, practice on an old panel... I would try...

    Shop Press

look carefully at the construction.... HF for the most part has cheaply made stuff. You might have a 50T at work and only put 6T of pressure on it BUT, the frame us WAY stronger than the HF 12T press. If it was me, I'd go with the 20T... the frame should be made a lot sturdier, not just have a...

    Awesome wife!

My dad had one of the smaller Lincoln welders (gas though, not fluxcore) was a GREAT little machine. There is a HUGE difference between running it off a 30amp 110v circuit and a 20amp circuit. I had a 20 amp in my garage and it never seemed to run as well as at his house. If I forgot and plugged...

    lowes Kobalt tools

hit up garage sales, even CL.... thorsen, S-K, Proto, older Craftsman, lots of great older name-brand stuff that is way better than anything from HF... I have tons of older "Industrial" brands like Bonney and some others that are awesome but never really made it mainstream.

    Another spot welding ???

a spot welder is nice to have for certain things... I had one and then sold it probably 20 years ago to fund something else... I have kicked myself many times for selling it... although it would have sat unused 95-99% of the time!

those are very nice! I look at pics of my shop when I first got it done... and then now, and almost cry... I have way too much crap stuffed in there! storing spare engines

IF you buy the casters with inflatable tires, (especially ones from HF) have an air compressor on hand because all the ones I have leak air! You would hate to line up a bunch of engines on dollys all in a row under a bench or something and then have the tires go flat and have to drag them out...

    Sand blaster / blast box

anybody ever used a dome tent? (camping) something like a 7x7 that you can get for 30$ at somewhere like a Big 5 sporting goods? that might be too thin to hold up well, but a lot of the newer ones come with a tarp type bottom and they roll up pretty small for storage

    Soldering Iron....

I have an antique made by Wall mfg. that I use for automotive wiring. It is 75 watts. (wooden handle, tip is 5/8" diameter) similar to this one.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Working-Lenk-Electric-Soldering-Iron-Copper-Tip-Newton-Mass-USA-Vtg-/121295146214

    Soldering Iron....

Get a good brand and If you are soldering automotive wire, make sure to get one with enough wattage to heat it up quick so you keep the heat at the end and not 2-3" up the wire!

    Pump.....

it was my dad's idea... he made himself one and me one... works pretty good, my extinguisher only holds a bit over 1 qt so I have to refill it when filling up a rear end or tranny but, it is sure fast and I don't get worn out pumping forever! Hose is pretty big and it has a copper tube on the...

    Pump.....

I have an old fire extinguisher that I brazed a valve stem on it so I can pressurize it. I have a 2' piece of hose on it so I can put gear oil in it, pressurize, and pull the lever down and it pumps the fluid wherever I want it.

    Concrete sealer

I would agree with condensation.... and, keep a fan going in there to move air around and you will probably not have an issue. My basement has the same issue... normally in the summer when it is dry (no rain so should not be ground water). Middle of winter raining every day, no issues! Fan...

    Heater placement

I am assuming you are putting in a heater with a blower and not just an infrared (radiant) heater.. if so, the main thing is to direct the air downward and get plenty of air movement everywhere. If the guy running the gas line is an HVAC guy, he may be able to give you some suggestions or ideas...

    Torque Wrench???

you asked what size you should get, 1/2 or 3/8. What torque range are you using it on? I have a 3/8 that is good up to about 75 ft lbs and a 1/2" that is good up to 150. I recently bought a 1/4 cuz I needed to do something with inch lbs. I like the 3/8 for anything under 60-70 ft lbs but use the...
