Not sure which mount your trans has but if it is the same as orig then use the orig one. If the mount bolts to the early and later trans the same then stick with the orig so if you ever have to change it in the future and forget you won't have to worry

Yea you should be able to get all the info you need on here. I would also get a hold of a factory service manual. There is a pivot you will have to weld to the frame if you are going to go with the original linkage setup. If you go hydraulic it may be easier/cheaper

I got the one from chucksclassiccars.com. It can be done cheaper however if you need pics pm me. If you go with chucks you will need a b-body big block fork and bell housing pivot so keep that in mind when looking at the price. Chuck swears it will work with the a body fork but it doesn't.

Not to sure but do you have the over center spring on the pedal? If so then wouldn't it rule out the borg beck style with the spring theory?

I have a 69 dart my pistol grip shifter is the 71-74 non console shifter it does not hit the dash or anything. I didn't make any adjustments to either the shifter or the handle. Call Jason at pistolgrip727 .com and he will get you set up Hope this helps
