Those are pretty cool. I like the brushed aluminum ones.

Not that purpleheart would look good in a green car but I used that stuff on a custom bass guitar I was building and that stuff is really hard. Its so hard that you can take it up to 2000 grit paper and then polishing compound and make it shine almost like a piece of metal. Really neat stuff.

Get you a nice piece of Black Walnut, preferably from the buttrous roots somewhere and start filing away. Thats what the really pretty gun stocks are made of. I used to have some laying around here somewhere... My dads in Townville and I'm sure he's got some.

After a few minutes of frustration thats what I would do! I wonder if you could get some kroil or penetrating fluid back in there with a q tip or something. kroil is really good a creeping in places like that.

You're right. I must have been thinking of a different knob! I just checked mine and it just slips over the D shaped shaft coimng out of the switch.

I suppose its possible. Im not really looking forward to ripping off the scabs from the cuts that i got from tearing it apart. There sure isnt a lot of room in there but I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

I recently took my instrument cluster out to detail it a bit and after I put it back in it flutters a lot and seems to be reading about double speed. Anyone have any idea what I screwed up?

Yup. Stock Rim Blow wheel. I've seen quite a few of them in a bodies.

Its a 71 dart with the standard dash- long sweep speedo. The one thing I see that may be holding me up is a big silver piece that hangs down below the speedo and is behind the dash frame. Looks like I need to pull up and twist out to get it to clear the frame. I'll try to remove the speedo...

Well, that pretty much sums it up. I'm trying to pull all the fake wood grain trim on the dash to paint it and possibly make a new gauge panel. I cant seem to get the gauge cluster to come out from the dash frame. Any tips before I break something? Thanks in advance
