I paid less than half for Trans Dapt mounts to put a 383 on my stock /6 k frame. I had to trim the corner on the DS mount to clear the oil pump but thats it.

The spacer is that round thing sitting on the water pump pulley. tap the side of it with a hammer and it should fall off of there.

Build the thing how you want it! If you dont like the car its worthless in my opinion. If you dont want to cut it up, sell it and get something you dont mind customizing.

Sweet. Thats always a good feeling. I remember once my friend and I fired up a 350 buick for the first time and he was checking to see if the radiator cap was tight and there was no shroud on the radiator at the time and yup- Didnt have to cut his fingernails for a couple weeks!

I had to shorten my driveshaft when I did the same swap. U-joints were the same but I think I had to have about 1.5 inches cut off the shaft.

Make sure you post some vids of that first fire up. That thing sure looks wicked.

I would start by finishing those 2 Heinekens on the roof before they get skunked! Seriously, I would clean it up real good and then see what needs attention. If its solid, stick that engine in there. I'd be tempted to do that first anyway.

I agree with all these guys too. Dont like the high impact colors on older a's and I am a huge fan of a dark silver.
