used hinges is just it. There is so much slop in the hinge as time goes by they get even more sloppy. You can try to bush the pins but I found that didnt really help. There is a place that restores hinges but not sure of the name.

Short of recruiting can this be brought back

I put my hood on and got everything lined up. I took it for a spin around the block to warm the car up. Stupid move I goosed the throttle and hood came up. Since then I haven't been able to get hood to align. The driver side hinge is right up against the fender and when the hood comes down it...

I can't really remember if I did them before or after. I think it was before actually. And yes I will work on that door and see if I can get that fender to line up better.

Photo of that gap coming and i think you might have hit it. The door could stand to go in just a bit on the bottom right corner. I cant remember does the fender have to come off to adjust?

Need help on how to get this gap closer. It fits really nice fender to hood and fender to door on the lower part. But this corner I cant seem to get right. I wonder if the door has to come out? I know it looks like a shadow but look close its not.

How about a source for the bolts that bolt the dog leg down under the car what can I use there. Id like to buy new i remember the old ones being rusted and broke. I believe they looked like this but dont know size

On the rail where the fenders go on both sides there shouldnt be any reason to shim there right or anywhere else but down on the dog leg right?

What do I need to get my fenders aligned? Ive got the doors aligned now to work on the front end. Any tips and ides would be helpful.

Start with a coat of dura glass. This will fill pin holes and such and is water resistant unlike normal plastic fillers.

Ive got a 72 scamp grille I want to paint arget/silver. Who makes an acceptable rattle can for such job? Or what have you used that looks good?
