    roof rust

It removes the rust. If it still looks rusty in the 2nd pic, its the lighting on the pitted areas (it leaves the metal rust free, but not perfectly smooth). This stuff will also remove the paint, so be careful not to get it on any painted areas. I paint the gel on with a brush at night, and...

    roof rust

This is actually something I am dealing with right now on the roof of my roadrunner. I tried sanding and other things but they didnt work. And this car sat outside with most of the vinyl top missing for 30+ years, so the whole roof had rusted. Anyways, I bought some of Eastwoods "Rust Dissolver...

    Rear quarter panel destroyed

The good news is that AMD makes replacement quarters. Really sorry to see this happen though.

MY DAILY B4 AND AFTER JOURNAL! /w daily updates and pics!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Keep up the good work on the car, there are plenty of low cost things you can do and still make good progress. You may just have to borrow some of the tools or other things to get it all done.

    Kustom shop paint

I have also used the Kustom shop primer. And Auto color library paint (same company I think). Good stuff! I plan to buy more when I start my next project! When I painted my 8-3/4 rear I used the black Kustom shop epoxy. I topcoated with eastwoods underhood black. It has held up great!

    under coatings and seem sealer

There is a plastic bottle that you can get for your undercoating gun. When I bought a undercoat gun from eastwood it came with the bottle. Eastwood and other suppliers sell just the bottle if you already have the gun http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=1126&itemType=PRODUCT

Hemi Orange. Its a cool name for a color. Plus it looks good too!

    weld through primer

I have used a couple different weld-thru primers. The ONLY good one I have found that works great with actual "welding" is SEM Copperweld 40783. The others had the problems with burning holes in things, or poor welds.

CA Impact Bumpers on 76 Duster

Pana.Mopar are you asking about modifying the shock-impact 5mph bumpers that stick-out from the body? They can be moved closer to the body without too much trouble. You just need to take apart the shock part of the mount, and remove the spring and oil inside. Then put them back together so they...

    under coatings and seem sealer

When I finally get around to working on my roadrunner I plan to buy some undercoating from Restorations by Rick to redo the bottom of my car. http://www.restorick.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Undercoat Looks like great stuff. I have bought other parts and coatings from him before and been very...

    Painting Your Underside

I would use an epoxy primer to seal it up. A couple good coats should make it last. You will want to paint over the primer at some point (typically the same color as the body), but the epoxy will protect the metal from flash rust. For any rusty areas, I like to use the Eastwood rust...

    duplicolor paint shop

Its pre mixed (thinner and paint) and "ready to spray". But the thinner they use is total cheap crap. For some small stuff its ok, but I wouldnt use it on a whole car or even anything you want to last. And the $20 price is for a quart of pre-mixed, so its really not even a good deal when all is...

Good paint brands that won't break the bank

I have also bought lots from TCP Global. Their restoration shop paint is pretty darn nice. Very high solids, quality stuff. I plan to use them for all my future paint purchases. I was able to get perfectly matched factory color paint for my Duster there. And the prices are very good. - I would...

    Tiny pin holes in weld

You can put on a skim coat of "All Metal" filler and call it good. But thats the easy way out. Although that stuff is rust and moisture proof, I think it would be fine if the filler was topcoated with a good primer and then paint. I used it on the seam of some of my welds even though I didnt see...

What detail products do you use

When I did have cars that needed it, I used Meguiars . I love the quick detailer and quick wax they make. AWESOME STUFF!!! For aluminum wheels I use mothers polish.

    Backyard paint booth

I started doing a little paint work on my Duster. Nothing too major. But I found elevating the car (jack stands or ramps, or both) really helped things alot. For doing the door jambs ect. Get a little detail gun. I bought a decent one from eastwood for like 40 bucks. Works awesome! Its so...

    Lower rear 1/4 ?

I got mine from YearOne. I think the paddock has them also. They are pretty nice panels. Fit decent and EDP coated. I'm going to weld mine, but panel adhesive (as mentioned above) would work great. You would just need to put a flange in the patch where it meets the quarter.

    Lower rear 1/4 ?

I'm doing mine right now! I had a mountain of dirt and leaves and cigs come out of my lower quarter. It didnt look too bad until I started cutting. I sure am glad I did! I got the patch from year one. But you can get them lots of places.

Help me chose my color, red or black?

IMO, black takes way more prep work to get perfect. Every spec of dust dirt or whatever shows up. Every scratch, swirl or imperfection looks ten times more noticable. So I voted for red, the right shade of red would look killer. I saw a Duster painted a brandy-wine red color, looked awesome.

    Powder Coat and trim restoration

I wish there was a shop that did it up here in Northern California. I plan to just buy a kit from Eastwood and do my own coating in the next couple months. I mostly just want to coat some suspension parts and engine brackets. A friend of mine has an electric oven he said I could have to do this.

    Vinyl top troubles...

A tool like this will work. The hook part will pull on the clips to remove the trim. You can find them at almost every auto-parts store (heck even my local Kregan/Schucks/Checker Auto Parts store has them for 12.99, I think under the powerbuilt brand or something). East wood also has a set of...
