Broken K frame bolt removal HELP!

You could try and weld a nut on it, then soak it with some penetrant overnight, use heat when trying to remove.

How do you straighten a k-frame off the car? Is it worth it?

Just curious as to which "leg" is bent.

New leafs too high, how much will they settle?

It may not even matter, but my head says it does so that's how I do it, lol.

New leafs too high, how much will they settle?

Yeah, when I changed everything out under the back, I left the spring eye bolts and the U bolt nuts loose, set it down with full weight on the suspension bounced it a few times then torqued everything.

New leafs too high, how much will they settle?

Did you by chance tighten everything down with the suspension in the air?

    Frontend Issues...

Is that arm hitting the bracket hard? It kinda looks like it in the photo. Could that be an interference in adjustment?

Subframe connectors for a driver/cruiser, necessary to weld to floor?

I used the method in the posted link, they work great, I saw a noticeable difference. Fairly easy to do. Just make sure your car is level and secure before you start. Check the doors after it is set and see how they open and close, if happy then have at it.

    Zerk Not Threading

Is this just one out of the lot? If so inspect the threads carefully on the ball joint, with a magnifying glass and a good light if necessary, there could be a simple imperfection on the starter thread that won't allow it to start. That is where I would start, other than making sure I had the...

‘73 Dart Sport Rear End Upgrade

I didn't shorten mine. B body rear with 10" wheels with 5.5 inch backspace. I completely rebuilt the rear with new gears, all new brake hardware, axle bearings, used clutch type sure grip, moved the perches in to equal the 43" on center for the springs, etc.

1970 Dart big block engine swap.

Nope. You will have manual brakes.

    subframe connectors

Probably a wise choice. I added them to my Dart Sport and I'm here to tell ya they DO make a difference. I noticed it as soon as I backed out of the garage and onto the street. As has been said, make your own, very inexpensive and easy to do.

    Spring relocation kit installed wrong?

That's a bit short. When I had my driveshaft cut and balanced it was 48 3/4 c to c on the u joints.

Found this, it's a home done job, but it will give you an idea.

    Rear End Cleanup, Help?

When Greg mentioned vent, I went back and looked at the pic and my eyes went straight to the brake line block. Then I realized it isn't an 8 3/4, lol.

    Rear End Cleanup, Help?

I don't see a vent, just a bolt head. It looks like that fluid was pushed out where the axle tube is pressed into the center. It definitely needs a vent, lol. EDIT: Or is the tube thingy (technical term) the vent?

    Rear End Cleanup, Help?

That's probably the easiest. Wear a mask so you aren't breathing the dust.

    Rot question

Dig in and find out just how bad it is. Frame rails can be replaced, if you're up to the task. I've never done it, but I can only imagine it's a chore.

    Rot question

What you see there is probably the tip of the iceberg. As mentioned poke around with a screwdriver, my guess is you will find more thin weak spots.

    U-bolt installation on an 8 3/4 housing

Yeah, who knows, lol. As long as they are in decent shape, no harm no foul. You can always trim them after install if it bugs ya, it probably would me.

    U-bolt installation on an 8 3/4 housing

Aftermarket U-bolts? Doesn't matter either way will work, torque to 45 FT LBS with suspension loaded.

    Subframe Connectors by Competition Engineering

If I were doing that I might not bolt them in. Weld them right out of the gate using the bolt holes in the connectors for plug welding.

    Subframe Connectors by Competition Engineering

I haven't myself. In my mind welded is better than bolted. Yes. With that said, you can buy your own material, cut to fit and weld them in. I put a set in my car for 40 bucks and a little work. There are numerous threads on this subject, at least 2 right now up and current. You can get...

Post adjustable UCA install - are these correct

Right, but they do need corrected. Did you put a jack under the LCA and raise it some to load the suspension? If so, did it correct the angle of the ball joint?

    Load Leveling Shocks?

Yep, I used those as well, except it was the coil springs that slid over the shocks, had the clamp top and bottom, old school stuff right there, lol.. Those Monroes he's speaking of are much larger in diameter, heavy springs incorporated onto the shock..

    Load Leveling Shocks?

Same thing I tried, lol. IIRC they were like 90 bucks apiece or something like that.

    Load Leveling Shocks?

If you haven't bought them I would look at springs instead. As mentioned ESPO, fairly reasonable. They didn't rub by much, but it was too close for me.
