Anyone here use the Megahosted Mopar photo gallery?

What's special about that site? Looks like an abandoned remnant from a decade ago. If anyone likes to start a Mopar-gallery website, I have the domain name "moparbucket.com" available.

440 and 727 for sale on marketplace

Not if you "bore it to the max" as mentioned. You never bore for cubic inches. You bore to get rid of wear. Boring removes rigidity from the cilinders.

How do i make my mopar a daily driver??

Change the alternator for a more modern one so it also charges when idling for a long period on a rainy day in a traffic jam, with headlights, wipers, heaterfan, soundsystem and brakelights on. Change the starter for an '80s starter for less weight, quicker cranking rpm. Change the battery for...

How do i make my mopar a daily driver??

I daily drive my '73 Dart in the Netherlands. Been doing so since 6 years. Used to drive a '67 Newport for about 10 years way before that. Maintenance is key. Replace anything worn or shabby that can leave you stranded and replace/upgrade with better stuff. Forget originality. Especially the...

Oak Tree Syrup on Vinyl Top

We don't have oak trees in my street but the trees that leak sticky stuff do their best to mess up your car bad. But, one good rainshower and the stuff is gone.

    This is why I don't use E-bay

If you want something on eBay, you don't start bidding like a moron the moment you see it. You wait until just before the end of the auction, see if the price is still in your range and place the bid you think it's worth to you.

Visiting ebay.com will show the discount and code on the slidebanner too. I used it to get a set of solid lifters and pushrods.

"Correctly" by who and how exactly? "Distributor TV" ? Also, a cam break-in isn't done with synthetic oil usually.

Awesome A-body air dam for under $30!

The effectiveness of a small lip can be debated, but it does look good. But there are also reasons these things are made of ABS-plastic. Costs, weightsavings and speedbump/driveway damage are a few of them.

    Pushing your CAM button

I've installed rollered buttons and also made nylon button ones myself. Wasn't quite impressed with the rollered buttons (I had), thinking if they fail you'd have a crap load of small metal parts being flung around near the timing chain. I seem to have more faith in the nylon buttons.

Semi Stupid Stuff I Want On My Car

You only want to tpc to delay shifts. Keeping shifter in the gear you want results in the same thing. If you want to shift down a gear, just pull the shifter back a notch. Unless of course you really want to do all this the hard way! :) :)

    Turbo vs supercharger?

OEM's 'have' to run turbo's because they need to use undersized engines which need to be driven with the trottle opened up fairly wide in order to increase mileage. That's easier to do with a turbo. Now how about that OEM Hellcat Hemi? :)

    Turbo vs supercharger?

From what I've gathered over the years about turbo's, is that they usually 'take out' and cost you some pistons or a complete engine, until you learn to tune it correctly and stop trying to find the limits. :)

How do you go about buying a car on the other side of the country?

The last 5 cars I bought were all done online with me sitting on my *** many miles away from the US across the pond. I only transfer money when I feel confident I'm actually getting a car in return. Only once I had the feeling I took a too big risc when I bought a car but it all turned out good...

    Turbo vs supercharger?

Superchargers work more direct as they are crank driven. Turbo's need some time before they spool up and start to work. But with proper turbo-sizing you can almost fix that. As a result, superchargers always 'eat' power from the engine even when they are not pressurizing the intake charge.

The engine was just rebuilt I was told!!!

Sorry to hear you got conned by another creep of society. Everything looks dry as a bone in that engine. I would take it all apart and assemble it properly, and along the way look for stuff to be upgraded. If it's going to be a racer, have crank assembly balanced. 10 second car? I would look...

    1973 318 - daily driver for years - now won’t start

Instead of just guessing and keep throwing money at it by replacing stuff, I think you should do some testing instead. If there's fuel entering the engine and spark at the plugs, it could be the spark is too weak or timing is way off. - How much voltage is at the coil with the ignition ON? -...

If you could do ONE upgrade...

Depends on the intended use of the car; If you have limited driving skills your car will probably not get modified past the dragracing-level, so engine-power would be important. If you plan to daily drive the car, steering and suspension/handling would be nice to be modernized a bit. Followed by...

    Speedo gear chart vs. math...

All rpm speeds were taken with transmission in 3rd gear? Find out your rear axle ratio first.

    Speedo gear chart vs. math...

Think in percentages. How much percent fast/slow is the gauge compared to real speed? Add/substract the percentage of teeth on the gear to correct. Adding teeth slows the speedo down. Use a gps speedometer to geet the actual speed, and not something from a book, internet site or slideruler.

One of you guys needs this.........76 Charger........

One of the last, still at least 'somewhat' decent looking models from the '70s. Blackout the interior and things get a lot better. I've had a rusted pile of '77 Charger which had really nothing going on for it in the looks department. The rust didn't help either of course :) 1977 Dodge Charger
