    FORUM TTI SUPPLIER

How was his price on the headers AND shipping compared to say Mancini or Hughes?

    FORUM TTI SUPPLIER

No. Mancini had 25% off of shipping around Christmas. Just buy direct from TTI and skip the hassle. That’s what I’m doing.

    Tailpipes with mini tub

Sure is a lot of room for tail pipes when you get rid of those pesky leaf springs!

Dumping exhaust down under the car

We're thinking along the same lines. We bought a set of mandrel bent 3" tail pipes for a Nova from Pypes and we think we may be able to cut them up and have the exhaust exit behind the tire. Not exactly what I wanted but it's better than the noise I'm getting at the axle now. My tank is new but...

Dumping exhaust down under the car

I forgot to mention the one year only 67 tank and that we are using mandrel bent pipe. No one around here even has a mandrel bender. We mocked up the front half of my exhaust using drier ducting and expanding foam, and then shipped those pieces out of state to be copied in stainless. You were...

Dumping exhaust down under the car

The only people who are having trouble running tail pipes are those of us with mini-tubs and big tires. Space is very hard to come by. Since we are posting videos, here's mine on the chassis dyno with @VOETOM 's custom hand built mufflers and no tail pipes.

    What mufflers for 340

My buddy is looking for mufflers next week for his big block Impala with headers. This appears to be a straight through muffler. He doesn't want loud exhaust, in fact he's a little bent about the car having headers. How do you think these would sound?

Dumping exhaust down under the car

I've been running 3" exhaust and open mufflers at the rearend for a couple of years now and I've had about enough of it. The noise inside the vehicle and fumes aren't pleasant but unfortunately tail pipes are not a simple bend up the pipe and install (read big tires, springs relocated and 67 gas...

    Headers on a 340 Cylinder 7

I would remove all of the studs and then use a good quality ARP header bolt. Just use some sealant on the the end bolts. Start with the bolt you are having trouble with and get it started, then start working on the next hardest. You just need a couple of threads to catch before moving on to the...

TTI headers which ones to use?

TTI ceramic coated step headers here on my 408. A little pricey ($324 NEW at a swap meet!!!) but worth every penny. Been on two years now and all I've had to do is snug the bolts up a couple of times. NO change in color.

Quieting exhaust inserts? silencing Tips? Suggestions??

Summit has glass packs starting at $20 each. I've seen lots of people put them in their tailpipes to remove the resonance when using chambered mufflers. Mufflers - 2.500 in. Inlet Diameter (in) - glass-pack

    3" exhaust reducing down to 2 1/2" after x-pipe

@VOETOM I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this.
  16. BrianT

    Side pipes?

I like what you're proposing. Once someone mentions sidepipes, everyone thinks of the chrome ones posted on the first page. I agree they look cheesy and dated. But some flat black ones like off a Cobra but built to the length of your vehicle would look bad *** in my opinion. Could be built...

    tti exhaust on doug headers

We are currently going through this with my exhaust. I have the TTI header collector and a Dr. Gas X pipe. The bends are just too sharp for 3" pipe, so we had to take the collectors off and we are going to weld flanges to the pipe so that they bolt directly to the headers. Anybody want to buy...

I'll be following along on this thread as that is the next step in my build. I had a local muffler guy try it several years ago and all it got me was dents in my shocks and two short turn downs. I know it can be done, I've got pictures. Member VOETOM is coming by this weekend to put my...

    "H-pipe," X-pipe," or no pipe?

I bought the Dr. Gas X pipe also on the recommendation of someone who is way smarter than myself on exhaust systems. It cost me 3X what I could have bought one from Summit for, but my expert says that it's worth it. Dr. Gas has done extensive research in designing high flow/low restriction...

    doug's and autozone ?

The same thing happened to me last year when buying a carb from them. Listed on their web page fine, by the time I had saved up enough money, it was unavailable. I think a lot of people buy big ticket items when they run the discount.

    Exhaust with spring relocation ?

It CAN be done. Here is a pic of a barracuda that I've been holding on to so that I can prove it! I will be putting 3" tail pipes on my Dart in the next few months as soon as we get the rebuilt engine in. Here's the plan. I bought 3" dryer ducting at Home Depot and we are going to use it to...

Small Block Full Length Header Options - Ground Clearance

I ran the cheaper Hooker headers on my Dart (previous owner bought them) and they drug across the curb every time I left my driveway. The right side hung down so low that the first time my wife saw my car, she said "what's that hanging down?!?" Not a good first impression. I found some TTIs...

TTI 2.5 Exhaust with Dana 60

It's going to be interesting to say the least. Member VOETOM had me get a piece of 3" flex pipe from Home Depot. Once we get the mufflers hung, we are going to attach the flex pipe and start snaking it through there. Every so often, we are going to cut slits into the pipe and shoot it full of...

TTI 2.5 Exhaust with Dana 60

Sorry, but that made me LOL. We are going to put three inch tail pipes on with a Dana, the springs moved in with big tires, after market disc brakes AND a 67 gas tank. You should be fine.
