Thanks for the info. The car I’m doing is the car you described. It is a NON Gilles and Spears car. Just stripped. The car had no black out before it was blasted and painted. But it already had another paint job over the original and I didn’t even think to look deeply before it was blasted.

Im restoring a 68 Barracuda. A friend of mine asked if the pinch weld along the bottom and underneath the rockers are blacked out from the factory. I believe on the later models (70's) they are but not on the earlier models (67-69.) Does any one now for sure? Does anyone have a original paint...

I was on the site last nite and it seems they are in stock. How do you install them to the panel. Glue or epoxy? Or do you drill holes, push the studs thru and crush or bend the studs? I would think screws would be to big and scratch the trunk lid.

The 69 Barracuda finish panel for the trunk on a non formula s or cuda package car is silver inside with a fish emblem. The formula s cars were black in the center with a circular formula s badge. Here's my question, Is the badge on a 69 formula s deck lid finish panel the same as the badges...

I have multiple sets from when I was collecting parts and didnt relize they were different till putting the car together. Also, i decided to go repop and Dante asked me which set i wanted when ordring them. Also, read the reply above yours. He has each one on each fender.

Maybe one fender is off a formula s and holes drilled for the badge and the other is a regular fender with no holes drilled for the s badge. Someone told me the script could be different for s cars and non s cars ???

Finishing up the restoration of my 68 Barracuda. Apparently there are 2 different types of fender script for a 68. My car was built on october 15, if that helps. One kind is all chrome and another has black out. Does anyone know what the reason for the two different scripts is, and which one...
