A friend made his twin scoops functional, on his '70 Super Bee, with this hand made system.

My 1406 had a float that filled with gas. My buddy and I replaced (and adjusted) both of the floats and all was well again.

My Edelbrock 1406 carburetor is being rebuilt by a friend. Do I need to replace the Edelbrock 9266 Heat Insulator Gasket? This one has been on the engine since August of 2016:

From what I understand '71 is a 1 year only part, and nearly impossible to find a cap for. Duster/Demon/Dart Sport are different. Look for '73-up Swinger/Scamp parts.

I've never checked the mileage, but it is definitely an improvement over the 2-bbl.

I have an Edelbrock LD4B intake and an Edelbrock 1406, 600 c.f.m., carburetor on my completely stock (except for the MP Electronic Ignition & SummitRacing double-roller timing chain/gears) 116,000 miles 318 (auto with 3.23:1 sure-grip 8 3/4").

Does anyone have a manufacturer part number for a 14" X 3" air filter. The last one I have was not in its packaging, and I can't remember what brand or part number it was. I went to AutoZone and asked if he could provide search on size and provide a part number. No such luck! Help please!

I found a (Mr. Gasket (IIRC)) adapter at Jegs. I think it was a 2 5/8" to a 5 1/8" adapter.

Found an Edelbrock 14" X 3" chrome (with the Edelbrock script lettering on it) air filter assembly at the local AutoZone. The base fits perfectly, and I used the old plain chrome lid from the air filter I got from my buddy. The brand new shiny Edelbrock lid may become some wall art for the garage.

Yes, there are a couple of dips about 180* apart/across from each other but not enough room to clear the choke. Darn!
