Your considered opinion on heads please

I think with cost in mind, the Speedmasters are the most cost effectiv option. This Cam is a wonderful choice for Street use. I drove this cam in a 340 with the RHS Steel Heads. That was really amazing.

    Good Cam Choice?

I have a Hughes cam custom grind to 112 LSA instead of 108. Has really good Street manners with a manual trans, but also hooks good and strong on the strip. My goal was to have more vacuum for a Brake booster, but its a different car in the meantime that has no brake booster. Anyway, i like the...

    360 engine vibration

The damaged Trans mount is absolutly nessassary to fix before figure out the vibrations! That can cause heavy vibrations! The converter could be ok. I would try the b&m flexplate for external balance. Nice Dart!

    J heads upgrade

So i would let them in. Your machinist is right when he said it only hurts you under 6k rpm. I made the same mistake. Build a 340 with RHS Indy heads with 2.02 heads. After i sold the engine, i build exactly the same setup again and choose 1.94 valves. It pulls stronger under 5k rpm as the big...

    RHS LAX heads.....

You need different Headbolts for them. The Std. Bolts doesn´t fit. Otherwise they fit good.

    Break In Disaster????????

i could bet that its the valve cover gesket.

crosswind air gap or stock 4bbl manifold

So for that cam i would like to say the stock 4bbl intake is the better choise! BTW: is the Holley spreadbore a mechanical double pumper?

Duration 284/296, Lift .507/.510 comp cam?

Build that cam into a 408 Stroker with RHS Indy Heads. Makes great Power through the full RPM Band. Choppy idle. Have a Video. Maybe i manage it to upload it.
  29. DieWilde13

318 with big valved or 340/360 heads

Hi, so if it were me, i would choose the RHS Heads with the standard 1,92 'Valves or the 1.88. For me the 2.02 Valves makes no sense, only if you want to rev. the Engine 80% above 5000Rpm. The difference between 1.92 ro 2.02 is not really noticable. Maybe on a Dyno and above 5500 Rpm. I...
