Vinyl top trim clips-where to buy?

Where could I find some clips for the vinyl top trim on the quarter panels of a Duster/Demon?

    Fuel filler neck screws?

1972. The filler tube installs from outside the quarter.

    Fuel filler neck screws?

Can someone tell me what screws are used to secure the fuel neck to the quarter panel? A pic with the cap off would be great too. TIA

Source for those foam door hinge dust seals?

I looked at an extra door I have and it is clearly seam sealer. The ones I took off the car were cut from white foam approximately 0.25" thick. They were cut perfectly to fit the hole. Appeared to be cut with a stamp. Definitely not cut with a razor or scissors. Strange.

Source for those foam door hinge dust seals?

Unless you are talking about the foam sealer like they used under the fender?

Source for those foam door hinge dust seals?

My originals were foam. I will try to get a picture up tomorrow.

Source for those foam door hinge dust seals?

I'm talking about those white foam seals that go in the door hinge pillar. The hinge bolts go through them. I would guess they are around 3/4" square. Thanks!

Best windshield/rear window and roof rail weatherstrip?

My Demon will be needing all new weatherstripping. Prices seem to vary greatly. Which ones fit the best? Any idea who makes the Classic Industries weatherstrip?

    Demon hood stripe

My '72 Demon hood stripes were removed at some point so I don't have that to go by. I'm trying to replicate the factory process. It looks like the hood was painted, then the black matte center stripe was painted on. Then the vinyl stripes along the center stripe were applied with the...

    Duster/Demon body line

Mine are definitely curved. I looked at many pictures of Dusters and Demons. Some look straight but a straight edge ruler proves they are curved.

    Duster/Demon body line

Finally getting back to finish my quarters. After taking this body line down to the metal on my NOS quarters and my original quarters, it is clear that there is a slight arch in the line over the wheel opening in all 4 of them. The may have been done so the line looks straight when looking...

    Correct finish/color for these parts?

Interesting, I wonder if some more of the survivor owners can chime in?

    Correct finish/color for these parts?

Were bumper brackets primer grey like the floor pans and subframes? And one more, how were the brake drums finished?

    Correct finish/color for these parts?

One more, how about the leaf spring hangers? I am guessing they were finished the same way as the leafs, either natural or black?? Am I right about the fender backsides being just primed? If anyone comes across any reference photos - clean, unrestored cars, I would like to see them!! Thanks!

    Correct finish/color for these parts?

Interesting, I'm finding black battery trays probably 20:1 over body color trays when I search for photos. They would have been painted with the body, right? I don't recall ever seeing an unpainted spot when I remove a tray. I might stick with black. I think it would look better.. Thanks!

    Correct finish/color for these parts?

I believe most of these parts are chassis black or natural steel. Do I have these correct? Chassis black: K member torsion bars battery tray axle housing/backing plates sway bar engine mounts trans crossmember bumper brackets strut rods Natural steel: upper control arm axle bumper stop plate...

    Painting door hinges

I have my hinges apart for a pin and bushing kit from Resto Rick. It looks like he paints them after they are reassembled. This would be good for me as I still need to mock up my body to check gaps, etc. But it looks like it would be hard to get them covered in paint with all the contours...

    Duster/Demon body line

I have noticed that the center quarter panel body line is virtually straight on some cars and on others there is a slight upward curve above the wheel well. My NOS quarters have a slight curve. The AMD quarters look pretty straight in the pictures. If someone has an original paint car, I...

What's the correct finish on these tabs?

Paint over the rubber seems to be the way it was done in these years. I wonder how the pro resto guys address this? If you paint them and then bend them around the wires, the paint will crack but if you bend the tabs before painting it is difficult to paint both sides of the tab. And of...

What's the correct finish on these tabs?

Mine appear to have been dipped in a Plasti Kote type coating, then they were covered with yellow paint at some point. The rubber coating appears original but I have seen several unrestored engine bays that had nothing but body color on these tabs. What is correct?

    Seam sealer on underside?

I would avoid the bed liner and underneath seam sealer unless you are building a daily driver. If you use seam sealer on both sides of the seam, make sure there is no air trapped in there. Just noticed you are in Duluth too,

    Seam sealer on underside?

That is what I do after all body/paint work is done. I use Transtar Amber in a rattle can. It is really thin so it gets into the door and rocker seams really well, then dries to a thick coat of wax that does't seem to let dirt and crap stick to it.

    Seam sealer on underside?

None of my Mopars appear to have had any seam sealer on the underside of the car but there are a few places on my Demon that could really benefit from some. Do any of you guys do this?

I use that on all my new vehicles. When there is some surface rust, I think something that converts rust is needed.

    Rust proofing door seams

Just curious what you guys do to rust proof your door seams. I have a door that was rust free until it sat outside full of water for 6 months. I cleaned it out but there is some surface rust inside. The seam looks fine from the outside. I think I will pour some POR15 in there and move the...
