    1968 dodge dart brake question

Sounds like a master cylinder failure. Look inside the car under the brake pedal for fluid on the floor. Good Luck. George

Black Paint ?? in engine compartment!

When parts for these cars were new, they were supplied to the OEM's from many different vendors. You can bet your bottom dollar that shades and sheen from one vendor to another will vary. I like John Deere Blitz Black Rustoleum 777 (takes forever to dry so keep that in mind) Krylon semi-gloss...

    68 GTS Brake parts problem

Mark, Please post some pix of your Dart, it sounds fantastic! Maybe the HELP! section at a NAPA store will have the adjusting cables. I remember reusing the ones on my 69 Swinger 340 I restored a few years ago, so I never researched the parts for availability, sorry. Here is the car I...

1965 dart inner fender stamp markings

The ink stamp on the inner fender MIGHT be the "paint inspection" stamp. Just a guess, though. LA cars differ from MI cars in a lot of areas. I know, my gold '69 Swinger 340 car was an LA built car, and I did a LOT of research during the restoration a few years ago. George

Short story and a few questions.....

I'm sorry for the terrible tragedy you had to witness. I can only imagine your pain. I must say, however, you 2 guys sure know how to put together a nice looking car! That thing is freakin sweet. Stay strong, brutha. Ya know, just because you don't have a car, nor plan to build one, doesn't...

No response in brake section, sorry. Quick question!

The valve you're asking about is called a Hold-Off Valve, and it does exactly what you describe. I converted my 69 Dart SBP disc to LBP disc brakes from a 73 Dart, and used the original prop valve and hold off valve from the 69. I would recommend it. It ensures stability in a panic stop...

Hood scoop or no hood scoop, you tell me!

My opinion of that awesome car would be the Hemi scoop and paint the hood/scoop black to match the fenders. Car is cool as hell as it is, however. George

    What Color for 68 GT?

Being an old Vette guy, I would suggest 69 Vette Tuxedo Black. If you want red, I would buy 63 Vette Riverside Red. VERY, very nice shade of red. Use a urethane base/clear system. Local paint jobber can mix the color, and put together a whole kit for ya from primers to clear. Good Luck with...

    What Color for 68 GT?

I would paint it red (I love red cars!), but with a white top and white interior, black would look SO cool. Nice lookin Dart ya have there!! George
