ON/OFF switch location on 66 Dart

On that car I would drill a small hole in the bumper with a remote mount switch so you'll just need a small hole and rod going through it. The ART kit I used uses a small diameter rod and small handle. I hate the way those big Moroso switches look. They look like they belong on a semi truck, or...

    Cowl hood

Hmm, I wonder which one really is the dilhole or the jackass

    Cowl hood

Maybe you could show azdurango some examples. I know I'd like to see some too.

    Cowl hood

Absolutely! If you don't like it, don't do it. AMC dude, AMC. (Ain't My Car) applies here. I happen to personally hate forward hood scoops, it's a personal thing, I'd rather just have a flat stock hood but I needed clearance on the Scamp and a 73 Charger power bulge hood just isn't available so...

    65 Dart drag car project

Depends on what you are going to do with the car. A stock resto', stock floor, a race car, aluminum is the way to go.

    Gettin' back to the THERMOQUAD!

The thermoquad brackets were different from the 2bbl stuff. You'll need either the later 340 or 360 4bbl parts if you want it to look stock. Alternatively you could make your own and install a manual valve body. That way you won't need to mess with the kickdown linkage, or you could use the...

    CRD Diesel's

The only diesels I'm familiar with that use a rocker arm or cam lobe are some of the TDI VW's. My wife's 04.5 is that way. Older 12 valve Cummins 5.9's and virtually all the older large truck diesels used only timed fuel pressure to pop the injector. The new common rail diesels don't use any...

    CRD Diesel's

Common Rail Diesel. These engines instead of relying on high pressure fuel from a timed mechanical injection pump utilyze a common high pressure fuel rail and the injectors are usually controlled electronically with help from fuel pressure. Some like the new 3.0 Mercedes in the GC and Sprinter...

    CRD Diesel's

Not much problem on the fuel system. Older A body fuel tanks would accept diesel with no problem and most older mechanical diesels come with a mechanical lift pump on the engine. If you used a later CRD engine then all you need is a low pressure electric pump mounted near the tank preferably.

    CRD Diesel's

The Sprinter inline 5 cylinder and the later 3.0L V6 that is also installed in the Grand Cherokee both have the NAGS automatic O/D transmission behind them. Same trans that is in the V8 RWD Magnum, Charger and 300. Besides the fact that they are all Mercedes (and damn I hate them!) they may...

    CRD Diesel's

I've been toying with the idea of putting a diesel into an A body for some time. Over here in the states though we don't have a lot of choices for small diesels since very few passenger cars came with them. The engine would have to come from a utility type truck or a tractor. None of which sound...

what does your early abody look like?

Brian, that is super clean looking. I love it. Nice job!

    65 Dart GT

I have a chance to purchase one, lots of good stuff with it as well and the body is virtually rust free. It has a coil over front suspension conversion with tubular upper A arms, rack and pinion steering and Wilwood brakes. It has a Dana 60 rear with ladder bars and a sectioned and boxed rear...

Argument needs settled. Back up lights.

If your neutral safety switch has 3 prongs and the wire connector has 3 wires then the it's also the reverse lamp switch. If it has one wire than it's just a neutral safety switch. The two outer poles of the switch are for the reverse lights. If you have continuity through them with the...
