Front Drum Brake Help - 68 Barracuda

I need to replace a warped front drum on my 68 Barracuda. The new part number drums do not look exactly like my old one. It looks like it will fit OK but the lip of the drum is different and it is a little taller. Here are some pics. Thoughts? New drum is a Raybestos 2932R

    Line Lock - Summit Brand

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I don't guess I need it to light the brake lights. I am only going to use it in a situation either on the track or doing burnouts, which I am sure is more "ticketable" than brake lights not working. LOL

Wheel studs for rear disk brake conversion

So, I will put in the longer studs. As for the shoulder not letting the rotor seat on the axle flange, I am going to open up the rotor bolt circle holes. They measure 0.570 and need to be 0.625. Nothing a good 5/8” drill bit won’t cure

Wheel studs for rear disk brake conversion

I am installing my right stuff rear disk brake kit on my 8 3/4 and it appears that the factor drum brake studs have a shoulder that is holding the caliper off the axle flange and not letting it seat. Are different studs needed for a disk brake conversion?

    Factory BBP on 7.25 axle

According to the info I have, the LBP 73+ 7.25 rears are 1.8" shorter flange to flange than the 72 back rears. Might make a difference if you are already tight on real estate under your car for tires..... The 73+ 7.25 rear flange to flange is listed at 51.4" 72 back is listed at 53.2"...
