For the NHRA followers. I know I’ll be tuning in.

I have a vested interest since I have been working with JHG and they have full sponsorship with Erica Enders and Bo Butner and associate sponsorship with Tony Stewart racing Leah and Matt! Gonna be interesting...

Where is Jerry Eckman when you need him? LOL

Thanks NHRA. You put the chevys right up top

You are correct, the limit of the RPM's killed any chance Dodge had. I see most of the Challengers are right there with MPH, but in Indy I also saw that they could not get off the line when it was hot, the later night runs were MUCH better! The Challengers still don't have the chassis set up...

Not one post about the Mopar race at Norwalk

I have a transport coming out of Buffalo so I am stopping by on Saturday on the way home. If anyone needs something from Chicago through Indiana and Ohio to Buffalo let me know ASAP as I am leaving at 5AM from northwest of Chicago...

Dan Dvorak's shop in Waldo, FL is for sale

Earlier this year there was a sale there, it was during the Mopar show down there so I didn't have time to go buy there. I wonder if those parts are still there?!?

    It fits

I use ramps on the side up front, leaves much more room for the car and don't have to worry about anything rolling into each other. Why cut the straps down?

    Avoided towing disaster.

I have towed hundreds of thousands of miles, and had three mishaps over those years. I find that crossing the straps makes it worse if something goes wrong, so I never do it anymore. I try and winch most vehicles up and leave them hooked to the winch if I am loading by myself, but let owners...

Bummer. A couple Mopars taken out

I did have comprehensive insurance for mine, cost me $16/year from St. Farm. They paid me $35K for the loss and I got to keep the car for $1000 and they never asked for the title so it is still clear. You have to show that the car in not able to be driven and is stored inside a permanent...

Bummer. A couple Mopars taken out

I bought the car in 1978, enjoyed it for many years, took it down to restore in 1993. 20 years later I was two weeks away from driving it again, used all NOS parts and put the original engine and trans in for the first time since 1983. I was finishing the brakes and installing the bucket seats...

    340 A body versus 383 B body

A-Body's are always going to be better, less weight. That is the reason that they didn't put 340's in any 68-69 cars except A-Body's. The limiting factory was always the 4" bolt circle and not enough room for bigger tires on Darts, Barracuda's had way more room for them and so did B-body's...

    We Lost Another Racer

He used to race a 58 Plymouth pro mod and recently bought the Corvette that he crashed. Quite a few of my friends were there and said he should have lifted but he didn't. Rumors are he had a heart attack while on the run, still waiting for conformation on that. RIP Mr. Weck...

You couldn’t pay me enough to ride this bike

Funny story at an NHRA race a dozen years ago. The Top Fuel Harleys were running in Vegas then we went to the Stratosphere for dinner. Saw one of the fuel jockey's and team sitting at a table so we went and talked with them. One thing lead to another and we got talking about dangerous things...

    I've done it now!

I was retired at 48 from my longtime job. Worked for a car collector for 5 years, then was retired again. Went back to my old job as a contractor on and off until 2019 when I hit the road on my own transporting cars, I am 64 today and looking to completely retire at 66 and 6 months when my SS...

    Enclosed trailer/toy hauler advice

I pulled my 11K lb 32' LQ trailer with my 2000 Ram 4x4 1500 5.9 gas engine through the mountains of PA with no issues, and the modern half tons can tow 12K lbs! I do agree though, I haven't pulled with a 1500 for 15 years now...

    Enclosed trailer/toy hauler advice

I went from a 29' v-nose with door on one side of the v that would accept a golf cart, you could even lower it onto the back of your pickup and drive the golf cart on there, then went to a 26' v-nose to a 24' flat front as I found that I didn't need all the extra room for what I was doing. As...

    Enclosed trailer/toy hauler advice

I have had dozens of trailers and though I like V-Nose for extra storage they can sometimes be detrimental depending on wind direction. If the wind is blowing directly at either side of the V-nose it tends to push the trailer around even with sway bars. I have really not noticed much difference...

    Enclosed trailer/toy hauler advice

I have a 32' Millenium LQ tag trailer, 20' garage and 12' fully self contained living quarters so I can take my show or race car and stay in it. The only thing needed is a generator or electricity to plug into when at shows. They are a true car hauler trailer with living quarters unlike a toy...
