Cleaned up the bulkhead. I ran the wire directly through the bulkhead. Actually put all new wires to the altenator. Dart fired right up. With the car running I wiggled all the connections and not even a sputter out of the car. Running at Famoso this weekend.....Maybe now that I have some good...

I removed the middle bulkhead connector last night. The black wire, second one down on the left side is burnt bad. Plastic surrounding the female clip melted and wire exposed. I have a wiring gremlin somewhere. I will be driving the car and the car will act like its not getting any fire to the plugs, the tach needle begins to jump around and then the car dies. I can wait about 5-10 minutes and it will fire right up. It has also done this while idling in the garage...

I just recieved the October edition of Mopar Muscle magazine. There is a article on ballast resistors. Article states that with electronic ignition there is no need to use a ballast resistor. What are your thoughts on this?

OK....here we go......installed the pickup coil and wah la............fired right up. Reluctor gap set at .008. Thank you 67Dart273 for your help. Could not have done it without you!!

I sure appreciate your help. Just got off the phone with Summit. They are sending me a new pick up coil. Should be here in the morning.

Update. Distributor volt reading while cranking is .003. Pulled the dizzy out. Ohm reading is 366 if I did it right. Rookie electricion here. And dizzy reads .003 while spinning it by hand.

Rotor is turning. I had the dizzy out this morning setting the gap. I have a feeling that the pick up coil might be the problem here, since the gap was at .023. May have worn it out.

Double checked.....Dark blue measures 6.0 cranking. 2 terminal ballast resistor. pickup coil?
