I guess I just see so many "restored" 68's with rally wheels I figured it was an option. So was the recalled aluminum wheel in 69 the first choice besides dog dishes or wheel covers pre 70?

I thought it was 68-74 with 3 different center caps 68-71, early 72, and 72-74.

Just bolt them on w/o tires and then look at clearance. a 235 series tire is 9 1/4 inches wide, which would stick out another 5/8" from the rim. A 255 is 10" or 1" wider then the rim on each side. Any of those in a 60 series should be ok height wise, just look at the fender lip and the leaf spring.

I like the wheels but would go bigger on the back tire. 245/60/14 would match the height of the front pretty good and fill the rear better.

If you are still small bolt pattern then your lug nuts should still be 7/16" right? So those Keystones are NOT unilug right? I'd say they do need a shank style lugnut but with a round washer, not the offset washers unilug Keystone wheels use. So I'd say 5 sets of these Those wheels look good...

no don't mill the wheels just buy acorn lugs that fit your fury studs. Are you trying to use "shank" style nuts off the Fury? Use the conical seat, and if you need more meat on the seat use "bulge" conical seat. look up Gorilla 61187 on summitracing $16 for 4. Or for less the Summit brand 754006...

I would think the Charger wheels require the acorn style lug nuts. They shouldn't go through the holes at all but stay on the surface of the wheel. The bevel in the base of the lugnut will center itself on the wheel stud.

It will center in the bolt circle and so you are talking the width of 2.5 human hairs off per stud. Plus as mentioned the LX wheels are actually 5x4.5. So hate them for looks or whatever else you want, but they certainly fit, and so will 5x115.

So even if they are exactly made in a 5x114.3 compared to a perfect 5x115 you are talking about .7 mm difference in the diameter of the whole circle. That would be .45 millimeter difference spaced at each hole. Less then half of a millimeter? I say torquing the lug nuts will adjust the studs...

A 5x115 will fit on a 5x4.5 and vice versa. They are not the same size but they are close enough that it's hard to even tell the difference. You are talking less then a milimeter! I bet the modern LX cars use bigger studs too which will make even more room on the older cars (I just looked it up...

We always used SOS pads in the detail business but then I haven't been in that business since 1987! Still, white walls or raised letters, it worked great, easy to find, and is safe.

My 5x4.5 rear end out of a 73 duster is a 7 1/4. It was a disc brake car so it had the 5x4.5 pattern but still only had a 7 1/4 rear. That looks good though, what size tires are on that 67?
