!st pass ever was around 1975 in my 68 roadrunner 383, stock except for headers, 4 spd, open 3:23, at George Air force base (8th mile) in Adelanto, CA. Don't remember times, But what fun. 1st time with et was at Riverside Ca in about 1988, 340 B'Cuda 340, B&M auto, 10.5.1, solid cam, home...

Where do you folks attach your line lock button?

I have a 1971 B body bucket seat? pistol grip shifter. It's the real short one. I was thinking of velcroing the line lock button toward the bottom of the shifter arm for racing (running the wire under the carpet and thru the shifter boot). I will use bullet connectors so that I can take it out...

Advise needed on linelock/4 speed drag racing

Can you use the linelock to take the slack out of the drivetrain on the line? Thinking to reduce the shock on takeoff. Does that make sense? I guess mounting it to the steering wheel temporarily would be best as I would only use it at the track. thoughts? thx, kevin

Opinion Time: What do you think it ran?

Sorry Brian, I didn't see the last post. Yeah My friends and I have thought about the exhaust being a factor. I could have lost some power due to exhaust restriction. The pipes flow poorly when the cutouts are closed. I will stop by and show you someday soon as I am moving to Shadow Hills Del...

Opinion Time: What do you think it ran?

I wonder if Dr Diff can give me both patterns? that would be ideal. I would really like to keep the centerline/lookalike or early weld look. What size tire are you running on the 7" rim?

Is everyone running aftermarket axles that post low 60' times?

I know it's the completely smart thing to get aftermarket axles. But are some of you folks slipping enough to keep from breaking axles and still get decent 60' times? Like 1.6 to 1.8? I would really like to get a decent 60' time with a streetable (not an everyday driver) tire. Example MT et...

    Tire question

The M/T, 'SS's are not a bad street tire. They last quite a while on the street and are sticky enough to not get you into trouble if you decide to dump the clutch and nail it, (yeah 4speed guy here). I have G60 14's. I tried to use them at the drags without heating them with the same result...

PINKS 4 Wide Drag Racing? What Do You Think?

I have to agree with someone else about test and tune or run what ya brung days. When you only get a couple of runs in normally, the 4 lanes would be great! Plus it's even more competitive to race against 3 other cars! More runs means more fun!

    Two Questions/Old School

How did they tow cars with steep gears with manual trans back in the old days? I can't afford a truck, so my suv with either a towbar or dolly will have to do. Question #2 What do you all think of running 3:23 posi in a 68 fb barracuda with the following combo. 340 030 over 11:1 comp, 245/250...

Results: My Dart vs 1969 Chevy Chevelle "396"

I had a friend that had a 69 ss chevelle with the 325 horse 396, auto and probably mild gearing. I raced him with my 68 Form. S B'Cuda FB 340, auto 3:23 gear. Both cars were bone stock and mine had at least 150,000 miles on it (when I bought the car from the orig. owner it had 145k). I beat him...

    Combo advise needed!!

I have read alot of comments on the centerforce. Many say they live just fine, others have had problems. I can't afford $1100 to $1900 for a race setup so centerforce seems the best compromise.
