Also, the approach will likely vary depending on the use of a short or long column, particularly where the housing(long column) or shaft(short column) passes through the firewall. After looking at the link I posted above, it looks like the stock bracket is too big to just sandwich the column.

"My bad" is probably in order. I took a quick measurement a while back on the rims and I remembered that I measured outside lip to outside lip. So instead of 17x9 and 17x8, they would be 17x8 and 17x7 stated sizes. That should clear up questions regarding the possibility of fitment.

Thanks The wheels are American Racing Torqflite. 17x9 rear with 225's and 17x8 front with 205's. I like the style, but I'll soon be moving up to 18's and possibly 20's at the rear. These will be for sale in a month or two.

Here we go again! Just for the record, I think everything looks better lowered- except 4X's. When done, I expect the front to be 1" lower and the back to be 2" lower than it is in the pic.

No front shocks on my car when I bought it. So, no lower bolts/nuts either. I want to install my new QA1 Stocker Star "R" shocks. Does anybody know the proper bolt size for the lower mount on the front shocks for my 69 Dart? Also, is there just a nut and bolt, or are washers used? Thanks-
