    rhythmic vibration on hiway

Oscillation.... I'm thinking driveshaft. I'd pull the whole thing and take the entire assembly in to have it balanced before it tears up something more expensive. My $0.02

    Kinda a moronic question....

1/2" definately Stud length is determined by axle hub thickness (you can ask them this) and the thickness of your rims at the point where the lugs attach. This measurement is critical if your running mags with acorn nuts. If your just running steeles and using regular nut it doesn't really mater...

    Warranty motors have #s

I've heard the the warranty motors with the correct year date on the casting are very popular. Some people were paying big bucks for the correct engine size (matching the fender tag) then stamping the correct numbers to match the VIN.

3 on the tree grinding noise

"Doesn't matter if the wheels are moving or not, it'll grind as soon as I hit the gas with the clutch pressed in". If the wheels aren't moving neither are the gears in the tranny or the input shaft. If it's grinding with the clutch pressed in I'd bet it's the throwout bearing. What's say the...

    8 3/4 or ford 9 in.

IMHO..........a 9". One of the reasons a ford 9" is pretty much bullet-proof is there are 3 pinion gear teeth in contact with the ring gear instead of 2. My $.02 worth, however I run a Strange Dana 60.

    How 2 remove speedo gear

He's right. The gear housing is held in with a bracket similar to a dist. hold down. It's got to be in the same position. Word of warning, DON'T lose the little steel pin in the upper end of the plastic gear. I did and spent 2 unsuccessful years trying to find a replacement. Oh, the gears...
