    Problem with windshield molding clips

Thanks Tony, that's great info. Ok. Final update: The windshield is in and the trim is on. It looks perfect. The original clips worked and I have a bag of clips left over if anybody needs them. I guess the other guy at Safelite was a little more familiar with them and was able to get it done.

    Problem with windshield molding clips

Update: 2nd package arrived and it's the exact same thing as the larger clips that arrived. Glass shop says they will move forward and make it work.

    AMD Windshield trim

Everything else is different with the windshield. Glass, gasket, and clips. Unless someone can say for sure otherwise I'd expect the trim to be different as well.

    Problem with windshield molding clips

They have a separate listing on the site for Demon/Duster. http://www.megapartsusa.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MP-WMC075970&cat=308 I contacted the reseller who sold me the gasket and clips. http://columbiapartsco.com/ Chris pretty much told me that no clips fit and seemed to think I...

    Problem with windshield molding clips

The car is at Safelite now receiving a new windshield. I provided the gasket and trim clips since they couldn't source the part. The guy running the shop is familiar with old mopars and has been helpful. Here is the problem. I ordered a windshield gasket and clips. The clips are too tall and...

I'll be going with a flat color for now, but will likely put a gloss paint job on once all the body work is finished.

Will I devalue my snorkel hood scoop by painting it black?

Thanks guys. This makes it an easy decision. I'm going to take it off and clean it up for now. At some point I'll find someone to swap hoods with so I can go to the smooth hood without having to repair the mounting holes in this hood. I just didn't want to devalue a part that I've seen sell...

Will I devalue my snorkel hood scoop by painting it black?

My 72 snorkel scoop is in good condition, but it would look perfect with a little reconditioning. I'm thinking along the lines of sanding the imperfections out and adding a coat of satin black paint. I see them for sale around and don't want to go through the trouble of the restoration if it's...

    1969 Cuda Grill Resto...any tips/tricks??

I just finished restoring my grill. I used the SEM 2 part product to fill in the cracks and to blend in a patch piece for a broken fin. Check out my intro thread http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=205942 for pics. My process - Using a dremel I opened up cracks and angled the...

'72 Duster How to I tighten the push out windows

Ok, did some net digging and came up with this. 1. It looks like its just a screw and I'm going to try some PB Blast and a little more torque. 2. I hope it doesn't break 'cause it's expensive if it does.

'72 Duster How to I tighten the push out windows

anybody? It looks like a simple phillips screw into the round piece that sandwiches the glass. Is that it and a little penetrating oil would break it free?

'72 Duster How to I tighten the push out windows

My rear push out window mechanism is loose on the driver side. It appears to be a simple phillips screw but when I tried to tighten it the sucker wouldn't budge. I figured I'd come ask you guys before I put the grunt to it and damaged the glass or some locking mechanism I can't see. I think...
