I've been looking for a bell housing for the 383 that I'm putting in my 69 Swinger 4spd. I see most of them are $300+, I was wondering how the Quicktime bellhousing would fit. I am planning on doing a hyd. clutch & Schumacher headers. I would appreciate any feedback before I pull the trigger on...

Just a quick newbie comment. I'll bet the fabricator took much pride in centering the motor in the engine compartment which would put it too close to the driver’s side. Motors are offset to the passenger side right?

How well would a set of mid 60 to early 70 big block C body manifolds fit a 69 383 dart? Car is a 4 spd.

Never mind. Found the info I was looking for. I am thinking of using this cam in a mild 383 for my 69 Swinger. Does anyone have any experience with this cam? I will be using Shumacher headers and Accurate 2.5" exhaust. Any sound clips?

I picked up the motor this weekend and tore it down. It does have 906 heads that had hardened seats installed @ 1985. The short block is virgin. I am going to put it in and mock everything up headers, hyd. clutch etc.

I have the chance to get a 100,000 mile 69 383 out of a camper special truck. One owner, he had hardened seats put in the heads @ 18 years ago other than that the short block is virgin. Could this motor have a steel crank & 906 heads being original to the truck? I know anything is possible but...
