    street demon or dp?

If it's a street car and you want economy, run the 750,if it's good performance you're after, go with a HP 950, the 950 has very good shift recovery because of the small base.

    magnum timing

How much ign Timing does a 360 Magnum like, the motor is 98-03, don't know much about the internals, it's got a 650 DP, single plane intake, roller rockers. Mick

71 360 Demon New Personal Best

That's three nice looking cars you've got there. I've just bought another Duster with a 360. I've always liked A bodies better than B's and E's Mick

How much hp and 1/8 ET

roccodart440 I don't know how much your car weighs but my old full weight 70 Challenger street car ran 11.83 at 113 with around 450-475 hp with 440 ported stock heads, hyd cam.
  7. MikeD

    Well that didn't take long..

I've ran SS springs for years without issues , best 60ft 1.36

    Post your 10 second combo

You didn't say the weight but assuming it's around 3000-3200# that's a good et, what was your 60 ft ?

    Wheelie question

It may look good but i would think once you get more than a foot of air under the front wheels it is just wasted motion, what is your car's et and 60ft times ?
  10. MikeD

    Wheelie question

The da shocks will improve the 60ft of the car anyway, vikings are fairly reasonable, then just slow the front extension down a bit and change the rear gear for a 4.30 or 4.56.

    275/60/15 tires on stock Duster

The car has 265/50/15's on the rear, so i think i'm going to fit either 255/70/15's or 255/60/15's, will a 70 profile go under ?

    275/60/15 tires on stock Duster

Thanks Fisher, that's very kind of you, the transport guy who collected it said it was very tidy, it's my fourth Duster and it's the best condition wise, not the quickest but probably not the slowest. Thanks TF360.. I'm a racer at heart, so i personally prefer the draglites. Mick

    275/60/15 tires on stock Duster

Thanks some good info here, i just think the rear tyres look shorter than the fronts, so it's more of a height thing than width. Untill i get the car and see what's on it i can't really do anything. Mick

    275/60/15 tires on stock Duster

The car is on the ship at the moment, i pick it up next week but the rear tyres look shorter than the fronts, so i just want something to fill the rear arches out a little more, i'll be happy with 255/ 60 or even 70 profile. Here's a couple of pics of the car, it's got a 360 in it. Mike

    moving axle one inch backwards

I moved mine back around 3 yrs ago to get clearance on my 31" slicks, i redrilled the shackle mounts, i also mounted the shocks vertically at the same time and i had a new driveshaft. Mick

My junk, blew the 440 motor last year, i've got a 470 low deck to go in when i pull my finger out. Mick

    60' time and 4 hole 1" spacer

I had a 1" phenolic 4 hole spacer which i swapped for a 2" supersucker and in back to back runs 30 mins apart i picked up .15 and 1.5 mph. Mick

Anybody break a stock block, if so at what hp?

I dont know how heavy your car is or how much it was leaning out but 500 hp will net you 10.90 in a 32-300 # car. If your car is 579 hp you should be able to run at least 127 and mid 10's. My car is around 600 hp at around 3150# Mick

Nice going Doug, what's it weigh now ?

    Post your 10 second combo

I put a dana in my car, definitely less drag and no heavier because it was 8" narrower and had a spool instead of a suregrip. Car went a 1.39 60ft last weekend. Mick

There was a favouring wind on the 132.88, normally it runs 131 on a good day. If i could have done the 1.36 on that run i think it would have ran 10.0?. Forcedmopar Dart 3150# at the line, dana 4.56, 727, 5000 conv, 31" hoosier slicks, SS springs MCH RPM's ( rip Jeff ) mopar .590 cam, isky...

    new best

Couple of weeks ago i ran a small pb et and speed, despite the track not hooking very well, went 10.14 132.88 with a poor 1.47 60 ft. Earlier in the day they prepped the track for a supercharged altered, i ran straight after and managed a best 60ft of 1.36 but over revved the car in second gear...

    My trip to the track...

Well done a very enjoyable read and i'm assuming, your first foray into the 12's. A cheap upgrade i did on my Dart was the 2" supersucker spacer, that netted me .15 and 1.5 mph and only cost me 60 dollars from Terry Walters performance but results can vary dependent on your combo. Mick

took dart out a couple of weeks ago

I run 31x10.5 hoosiers on the rear. It's a solid car that looks ok from 20 ft away. Lol It runs ok for what it is, be nice to drop into the 9's with it. Mick
