Center link and sway bar ?'s

I screwed this up! I gathered up all the suspension components from my brothers place and brought them home with me to refinish. And he even told me before I packed it up....."I got it all layed out like it's suppose to go." Well, here's my question. The center link and the sway bar both have a...

    Slight frame crack. Opinions?

Purple Haze - I stated in another post that I had forgot to take the camera with us Sunday! LOL! autoxcuda - Looks like you really had to weld quit a bit of extra in. pettybludart - Frame connectors are going to be a must on this project. We just haven't worked back to that point. We are...

    Differential Id?

Looks like I got the 8 1/4. Most likely the factory rear end that came with the car. I don't know if it's posi or not. Haven't had the rear end off the ground to check it. My big question is while the previous owner installed mini tubs on the car, why did he take the time and trouble to move the...

    Slight frame crack. Opinions?

autoxcuda - That's what I wanted to hear! That it was common or that it happens. The area where the K Member mounts looked good, however during sandblasting one of the plates with the nut on the back broke loose. We gotta fix that too. And I hear that is common as well. toplscuda - Thanks for...

MOOG Upper A arm offset bushings.

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure I had it right. I was so tired yesterday I fell asleep sitting at the kitchen table!

    Slight frame crack. Opinions?

Let's hope not! As a GM guy, imagine my surprise when my brother told me that these Mopar cars that have kicked buttocks for 40 years or so were entirely spot welded together. I was shocked!

MOOG Upper A arm offset bushings.

I wanna make SURE I got a handle on this before I have them pressed in this week. I got the MOOG upper A arm offset bushings for the '73 Duster. On the drivers and passenger side, the FRONT A arm bushing is installed with the arrow pointing out (toward the fender or outside the car). The REAR A...

    Slight frame crack. Opinions?

I'm with ya bigdemo1. Welding it up isn't a problem. Structurally in my own opinion, after the crack has been welded and has stopped spreading, I think it will be Ok. I just wonder if there are others of you out there that have this and may not know about it. I mean, how often do you get down...

    Slight frame crack. Opinions?

This morning we gathered up all the new suspension parts and the POR15 package that was delivered earlier this week and my son and I drug our weary bodies an hour away to my brothers house. And I was immediately upset when we got there and realized we had forgot the camera. Anyway, this is where...

    Haunted 68' barracuda??

Well my brother has a '67 Barracuda that the original owner committed suicide in. It's not haunted as far as I know. I agree with the above could be the wrong pulley or pump.

    Best paint for K Member?

We are dropping the K Member on my sons project car this weekend in preparation for the suspension rebuild. He's going to sand blast it to get the 37 years of road grime off of it. For those of you that have done this before is there a specific paint we should use for this application? One that...

    Suspension parts list. What's missing?

The project car ('73 Duster 340/auto car w/ P/S) vs the parts car ('73 Duster /6 3spd car with manual steering). All being the same, the steering boxes should drop in with little change. Am I right?

    Suspension parts list. What's missing?

Ok, this is what grabbed me about your response...."more caster which will help the car track straighter and better alignment settings, etc....). Because we all know how sloppy and unresponsive the stock steering is in these older Mopar cars. This makes sense to me now, positioning the upper...

    Suspension parts list. What's missing?

Thanks for the peer check on the parts list everybody. I did overlook a few items (and forgot the proper names). This will be for my sons '73 Duster and it will see mostly street use as well as a few trips to the track. Sorry I forgot to mention that in the original post. The pitman arm? Does it...

    Suspension parts list. What's missing?

So other than positive caster, what is the benefit of doing this? Will the tires wear better? Will it cause them to prematurely wear? I'm not a suspension geometry engineer. However I do have my masters in being clueless at times. LOL!
