Were do you measure from on backing plates to know what size they are? I need to make sure I have the correct backing plates for A-body with 4" bolt pattern. Thanks.

I still have the original 7 1/4 under my 72 4 dr. dart. Its held up to a lot of abuse, lately its been making a winding noise though. LOL. I am planning on swapping in a 8 3/4 w/ a 2.94 suregrip & sm. bolt axles this winter. I use the car daily so I don't need a low gear.

I took my 72 dart for a little ride today and I had it up to 55 mph and it isn't shifting into 3rd gear. ??? What could the problem be??? Thanks for any help.
