    1970 Dart with collapsed suspension...

Hmm... before buying it, maybe start the negotiations with something like "I'll tow it off your property for free". Just sayin', the back end of the car does not look promising.

Best way to raise my Duster

Installed the s/s springs on both the Dart and Coronet. Add a pair of Bilstein shocks and a pinion snubber and you're good to go. And crank down the T-bars in front (you'll have to get the front end re-aligned).

Front A body suspension help please

Yep, didn't notice his signature line; that's also why I prefaced by reply with 'if'. And I get that a lot of owners like the bigger bars for all the reasons mentioned. When I rebuilt the Dart's front end I kept the .92's because they were less than 10 years old and there were wearable parts...

Front A body suspension help please

I agree with AJ that 1.03 T-bars shouldn't be your first choice. I know a lot of guys love the feel of the big bars, but if your Valiant is a /6 daily driver you don't need 'em. Replacing the wearable components of your suspension and steering and upgrading to the Bilsteins will give you a nice...

Front A body suspension help please

if all the wearable parts were replaced I'm surprised the front end feels "mushy". Don't have any experience with KYB's but I'm running Bilsteins on both cars and they are great shocks. If you can find it in your budget I recommend swapping out the KYB's. As mentioned, measure your T-bars...

    steering box

The Stage III makes the steering feel 'heavier', kind of like a modern sport sedan with a power rack. The power steering isn't any harder to turn, so it doesn't feel like a manual box. And it's very responsive. A friend of mine on FBBO has the stage II and it's not much different, a little...

Dart Suspension Rebuild Kit on Ebay Opinions

In today's "global economy" it's hard to say anymore where to get quality parts. Moog has it's detractors and it's dedicated followers. I completely rebuilt the front end on both the Coronet and Dart using a combination of Moog parts from Rock Auto and PST. From PST I got their solid tie rod...

Alignment shop says they can't get over 1 degree positive caster on 73 Scamp

As mentioned, find an old-skool shop that understands torsion bar suspensions. I have to go 35 miles from my home to the alignment shop I trust. BTW, you didn't say what kind of driving you'll be doing. If it's mainly a DD with manual steering, low speed steering effort will increase with a...

    '65 Dart Front Bushing Project

You asked about specialty tools - you may need a T-bar remover. A lot of guys have had success by completely backing off the T-bar adjuster, disconnecting the LCA from the lower ball joint, removing the nut on front of the strut bar and then taking a crow bar and prying back the LCA from the K...

    steering box

Had FF rebuild the man box on the Dart and the PS box on the Coronet. Went with the Stage III on the PS. What a difference! I highly recommend them.
