I’m old school I guess and not a big fan of the magnum engines. I know they make great power and are roller motors and heads flow better but I just can’t give up on the LA motor. But its a Mopar and I for sure will watch and see what I can learn about the magnum motors. Can’t wait to see your plan

It may be better in many ways but to me a magnum engine just doesn't look right in an old car. Plus I can make 300 or 400 hp with a LA engine too. Its just a street car.

Nothing really wrong with a/6 I'm just a small block LA motor guy. Plus I have about 4 of them out in the barn now. I've built about 10 or 12 of them over the years.

I purchased a 71 /6 Duster. Probably going with a 360 or 408 with a 727 behind it. EFI for sure. Maybe even an OD transmission. Driver no race car.

Im old school. Like my LA small blocks. But i do like efi. Have a fitech kit on my Scamp.

What about the engine wiring harness? Any difference in the two ? What changes need to be made ?

Ok i know it an old post but I'm kind of confused. I'm NOT running the 90* oil adapter. And I'm not sure on what gasket I need for the housing plate. I was told it was two gaskets a big round one and a small cork round one. But where I'm confused is when I look up for the gasket (felpro #70078)...

Have you tbought about fiberglass body parts ?

Ive looked on autozone web site and they seems to be the same for both according to them.

I've run 318 mounts on a 360 with spacers for years on my old car. Car ran 12's in the 1/4. Never had any problems.

I used the Black wrinkle paint on a set of VC for another project. Turned out great.

What about the fuel pump? I was thinking it was painted with the engine? Yes, no ?? And the spark plugs and oil filter ?

Im thinking of doing this with a set of 360 heads i have after reading this. I was going to buy new of get a set of aluminum heads but im just trying to make a good driver not a race car.
