Is anyone using this intake with the factory DBW throttle body? I currently have a truck intake and was thinking about swapping to this with my DBW throttle body so I can run a better looking air cleaner.

You can see the hole in my photo below the heater hose holes. You cannot see this after the engine is installed.

I believe I tried wiring Ing. 1 & 2 wires together, but I can't remember for sure. I have pulled the harness and intake to reroute some stuff, so I will try it again in a couple weeks when it's back together. Thanks

I haven't drilled the hole yet, just have it draped through the blower motor hole. But the instructions say to drill it behind the passenger side head.

Gunnar, the wires going under your intake are for the MDS system. For shutting down four cylinders to save fuel. You wont use them. You can actually swap out those lifters and plug the holds with a kit, not sure where you'd buy it though.

Do you have to swap them out? Don't they just act like regular lifters when MDS is not engaged? That's what I was hoping anyway.

I found this website that you can lookup harness plugs by vehicle: http://dto.vftis.com/mopar/platform_select.asp Then, I have gone to one of the online parts websites and put in the number and ordered the connector. I did this withe the ODB port for my 5.7 hemi swap.

I wouldn't pay more than $400, when I could buy factory take offs for less than $200. I bought my SRT-8 JGC manifolds for $190. Plus I still have to confirm they will fit with the facotry K-frame and steering. Maybe I'll get that done this week...

I think he meant he modified the stock k-frame, not the TTI mounts.

I know they are different. I have a set of JGC SRT-8 manifolds. With a stock K and steering box, I think it hits. I'll have to double check my test fit pictures.

Tincup.. You aren't using the factory K and steering, right? Jeep SRT-8 may hit the factory steering box. Aaron

Gdemon, what are the specs on you wheel/tire combo on that Demon? Look to be 17" r's? I have a 5.7 sitting on an a-body k-frame.. I could probably get some pics of a manual box, and PS box to compare the size/location. I don't think the PS box will fit. THanks
