I have thought about ordering one but i am leaning towards other options. Mainly becuase i would still have to cut out the floor area for the shift rods because the car came as an auto. that said Jamie's trans still looks outstanding and should be a great trans when it becomes availible.

I talked to Keisler on the phone today. They confirmed that the RS trans currently has a fitment issue becuase the rail system contacts the torsion bar support cross member. They are trying to get a lowered rail system in place. I don't know whats involved. Also asked about the new SS700 that is...

well that would explain it i thought it was just the RS600 that wasn't out. I know chop cut rebuild put one in a 69 charger.

Been researching 5 speeds for a future conversion. has anyone installed an RS 5 speed in a mopar yet or know someone who has? I hear there is a long wait after you order. Just trying to see if this trans is even an option. Any feedback or pictures would be awsome

The guys at Mcleod are waiting for the cases to come in. From what i have heard the first ones will be ready in February or March. They redesigned the rail system for the shifter which cause the delay. Of course people have been saying this for 2 years so your guess is as good as mine. 1st gear...

I would wait for the Passon or the Mcleod. The Tremec can't really be done without cutting the floor no matter what they say.

Good feedback and yes we should just all save till we can actually order one of the new 5 speeds from whoever we choose. Not sure about the proshift option.

John I spoke with Paul he told me that straight cut gear rumor is not true at all. I think the trans has a chance to do well.

A friend of mine has on order one of the first ones he will be testing it behind a 608 hp Big block I look forward to seeing how it does. And yes we have all seen the date pushed back and back again but when it does come out i imagin they will have quite a few sales on their hands

I just got my quote from Keisler for my 70 Road Runner for one of their new RS 500 5 speeds. Granted I don't have the cut the floor on a b-body. They quote me just under 5000 for everything. Trans was 2699. I figure the estimate you got was for a TKO

I know alot of people are bashing Mcleod for not having their 5 speed out yet but from what I hear it will be availible by Nov 1. Price is 3000.

I have a question for the A and B Body guys. Might buy a 70 Road Runner I found. It has 4.11 gears in it which aren;t good for daily driving. I have a 3rd member 3.23 ratio in an 67 A-body housing. Is it possible to swap out 3rd members? or is there a parts or alignment conflict?

I would take a look at the dana 60 also. I have found them to be just a bit cheaper then the 9 from some vendors. I am getting my setup from Strange.

I would consider a Gear Vendors unit. Less modification needed.
