    To buy or not?

Nice cars both of them! There is only one good solution to this: -Souped up Dart Sport 340 Weekend Warrior -Stock Dart 318 Daily Driver Kidding aside, I'd say it depends on the cost involved and most of all what you are really looking for. The Dart would be a very nice little driver with...

    Dog Dish/Poverty Caps Question

They COULD also be from a Dodge. I agree with what is said above about Dodge using these caps with either center emblem or "Dodge Division" script and Plymouth using them either blank as these or With "Plymouth Division" script. But that was in the late 60's/early 70's. Later on, like for...

does anyone know what this wheel is from?

The clips are definitely to hold hubcaps. They are not mid-fifties Mopar. Here is a pic of one of the original wheels on my old '55 Plymouth. Mine had full hubcaps but you can see the dimples in the center for holding dogdishes. And they were only 4,5" wide. Plymouth switched to 14" in 1957.

    Scamp vs. Valiant

They did mix and match bodystyles quite a bit between the Dart and Valiant in the early seventies. Short version: When the redesigned bodies came out in 1967 the Valiant rode on a 108" wheelbase, the Dart was a little longer with its 111". The Valiant was only offered as a 2 or 4 door sedan...

    my 1956 dodge postal van

Congratulations! Not exactly beautiful but a very cool truck! The flathead 6 is a nice and extremely durable engine with lots of torque. I had one once in a '55 Plymouth with the same 2-speed Powerflite. Nothing to complain about other than the gas mileage.. They can be pretty thirsty. I...

    NPD has secret MOPAR STUFF

That's good news for me over here in Norway. Not all companies are easy to deal with and buy from when you live overseas. I have bought lots of stuff from NPD for my non-Mopar cars over the years and the service has been nothing but excellent. They even have their own "export sales manager" and...

Need help with valiant dog dish hubcaps

I know for certain that most came from the factory without paint but others came detailed. Have not been able to certify why or find a pattern but it might be different factories. Maybe cars built at a certain factory got them painted? I really like your take on them and thought about doing...

Does it help much at all....?

All engines without an electric fan will get hotter for a while when the car is parked. No water circulating and cooling the engine will do that, just look at the temp gauge a couple of minutes after shutting the engine off.. Now this isn't really a problem on our cars, it's not like we're...
