Does your rear have 10 bolts on the rear differential cover? If so, then you probably have an 8 1/4. 8 3/4 will have a welded inspection cover.

3.21's came in 8 1/4's.

Column or under the hood? If your car has power steering, then fluid may be low. Sounds simple but this is the first place to start.

Mopar only has part #'s for 8 3/4 & Dana 60. Will either of these work 8 1/4?
