Car look great, supurb job on the rear install. One question, did you consider moving the axle back at all? I moved mine back 3/4" and it centered it nicely in the wheel opening, and also gives your tires a little more room up front.
I have the AlterK and I'm very happy with the fit and quality. There is another setup from a company called Cap Auto parts. I don't know much about it.
Hey RJ, how is everything going, have you done any more work on the Demon?
I chased the threads yesterday and that solved the problem, now there is pleanty of adjustment. In case anyone else has a problem the threads are 9/16" - 18
Here are a couple of pictures of the front end. The rack only threads in about 1 1/2 inches on each side. So with one wheel straight the other is toe out about 5 inches.
I have not coated it yet, but I am planning on using etch primer, Hammertone spray paint (I like the look) and then urethane clear to give it some protection.
I have a good friend that lives in Holden, MA.
I just finished mocking up my Alterkation in my 63 and I am very pleased with the fit and quality of workmanship. I purchased the handling kit (comes with front sway bar) and the Wilwood 12" slotted rotors and 4 piston calipers, and the price was just shy of 5K.
Sorry to hear that, that is a fine example of why I almost always do it myself. It is how we learn, and if you screw up, just fix it, your only out time and not much $$$. Just my $.02
Anyone out there have the Mp spring relocation kit for A-body? I woul just like to know how wide the gap is in the front hanger. I purchased a kit from Magnum force and the gap is 3.25" seams a little wide for my 2.5" springs.
