hey fabo! about two years ago when i started my 72 duster i took out the old trunk lock, and now that i am ready to put in the new one i of course can not find the thing so i popped onto ebay and bam got a new lock set for the trunk... now my question is, how does this all install in the trunk...

i shaved the sidemarkers off my 72 duster patched and lead over the top. couldnt stand how they stuck out heres a pic

id just go to a paint shop and get some touch up paint not super expensive and easy to do

my fendergaps are a bit on the tight side but my main problem is height with it, it fits perfect towards the grille but by the cowl area its a bit off (btw sorry for jacking this thread to talk about the pain of having a lift off hood) lol

i guarantee yours is higher quality mine is super flimsy and i'm having a hard time making it fit just right but im okay with it im going more for that dirty drag car look than fancy show car lol :burnout:

my cheap lift off six pack hood on my duster looks nothing like factory but it was only 300... maybe the more expensive brands look more "factory correct"

im always gonna appreciate a car done at home that has some flaws more than a car that got sent off to a shop for 15k and looks perfect... i always thought the funnest part of the hobby was actually WORKING on the car, showing your skills instead of sending out everything that gets challenging...

screw it remove the handle all together and invest in one of these bad boys

hey i bought this six pack scoop from aar and was very happy as it came undamaged and looked great... one problem... i knew with the outward flanges id have to do some fitting but the front flange is actually shaped upwards. it says on their website these are custom made for your car in my case...

i allways hear AAR fiberglass is the best but i personally have no experience with them someone else will chime in

idk maybe even a power bulge hood just something to give a little hint to whats under the hood and provide a little more clearance without being an actual scoop. i think i want to be a little more subtle
