Afternoon peeps! Just came back from a little trip in the dart and noticed that passenger side rear axel shaft was ROASTING hot. The drum was cool so ruled out a brake binding issue Driver side was cool as a cucumber, passenger side super hot. Couldn't even touch it. Only thing I've done...

    7.25 swap

Quick questions guys I have a shortend 8.75 rear end from a b-body it fits perfectly in my dart. Also has small bolt pattern a body 8.75 half shafts in there too so my wheels are not an issue. I'm using my original (now shortend to fit) prop that was on the 7.25. Would I need a different u...

I did see these but Trying to avoid any unnecessary expense at the moment! If needs must I will purchase but if it's going to bolt straight up then I can spend that on something else

    New yoke

I kept 5x4 just because it would of mean swapping out my 4 pot fronts or getting the ford.mustang rotor machined which was all extra work. Besides I already have the wheels I wanted Seemed like a lot of extra money for something I didn't really need

    U joint size

Am I correct in thinking cars fitted with the 7.25 from factory would of had the smaller u joint 7260?car in questions is a 70 dart. Only asking as the 'new' 8.75 that's going on is 7260 and if that's that case it should all match up once the shaft is shortened. And I won't need to mess about...

    8.25 Vs 8.75

I've read 7.25 sbp backing plates have a different offset to sbp 8.75 extra drilled hole or not. Think I'm gonna have to find some sbp 8.75 backing plates with 10 or 11" brakes

    8.25 Vs 8.75

I been thinking What if I was to use my current 7.25 backing plate and brakes (that are fully working) and just drill the extra mounting hole out? Is that workable?

    8.25 Vs 8.75

Howdy again peeps! Another question. I'm narrowing my b body 8.75 to abody width. The b body 8.75 has no brakes jist big bolt halfshafts obviously the b body halfshafts won't fit once it's narrowed but I have 8.75 half shafts in small bolt pattern a body form to use as I want to keep my SBP...

    70 coronet 8.75 in 70 dart

I should say that I have also been offered sbp a body half shafts from a chap here in the UK who upgraded his to BBP so these are spare. (He will measure these over the weekend just to double check) Hopefully it would mean just changing to 4.5 axels when/if the time ever comes up upgrade to...

    70 coronet 8.75 in 70 dart

8.25 rear axel and jeep axel

I've seen this as well, but I already have an 8.25 in A body length ready to go. My small block will be no more then 350bhp so will handle it.. The 8.8 route is alot more work when I already have this.. Still, it's an option though.

I have a 8.25 sitting in my garage, came off a 68 dart. I never got around to fitting it as I was going to go down the 8.75 route, However these are impossible to find in the UK. So I've been doing a bit of reading and hopefully I can get a few things cleared up. I hear the rear discs from a...
