A "fix" for annoying Magnum exhaust pipe flange bolts

Ugh, feel you on the tires. Just put $500 of tires on my 2000 ram with 250k miles on it. Didn't want to but I had a bubble in the rf so bad i thought it was gonna blow up.

TTI Small Block Shorty Header Install

Thanks for the write up and photos. I am planning on using this set up in my ride. It was one of the few that worked with a 4 speed and no mods. Looks great.

    exhaust manifold flowing

Can't add to the conversation, but I'm going to follow it. I am a "header hater" and would love to keep my 340 manifolds on my upcoming build.

    340 hp exhaust manifolds

I had to. And I cannot see a way around it based on where the ps mannie routes.

Are the TTI shorties really my only option?

I am leaning toward this and somehow keeping the manifolds for now. Do you have some sort of drawing? Thanks! Chris E.

Are the TTI shorties really my only option?

Yeah, I could use 'em. It was the modified Z bar that put me off. Maybe it isn't a big deal, but I just wanted a drop in. Bummed already b/c I spent all the $'s on the 340 manifolds and the Accurate Exhaust............ ouch........

Are the TTI shorties really my only option?

Well, that coupled with the power steering and 4 speed set up. Most of the TTI's, Dougs and the Schumachers won't work with the 4 speed, etc. from my reading. C

Are the TTI shorties really my only option?

    They don't offer much info at their website! HEADER - STAINLESS STEEL - 68-89 CHRYSLER / DODGE / PLYMOUTH SBC V8 318 / 340 / 360 Cu.In. Thanks much though.

Are the TTI shorties really my only option?

Hey All, Car is a 68 Val, currently 273 but getting a 360 magnum, power steering, A/C, stock type suspension (upgraded torsion bars, sway bar boxed lca's, etc) stock pitman and idler, but the killer is that it is a 4 speed as well. I wanted to run the stock 340 manifolds (now on the 273) on...

New TTI Shorties - Woo Hoo!!!

Totally want to see pics of these installed too. I think this may be my only header option.

Accurate Exhaust Products -Review of Complete System

Yeah I think the basic system is $795 ish. I opted for stainless mufflers and the stainless tips kit. Shipping was also pretty dear. They package the crap out of it and it is pretty heavy. I also have a 2.5 inch summit header back system (which I'm going to sell) that I didn't end up using. The...

Accurate Exhaust Products -Review of Complete System

Yeah you could be right. I never thought to measure from the floor, but then my carport floor is far from level too!

Negatory. And I am running 340 manifolds.

Accurate Exhaust Products -Review of Complete System

Hey All, I recently purchased a complete exhaust system for my 68 Val from Accurate Exhaust. Here are my impressions. I spoke with Colby on the phone. I was just trying to get info at that point, but Colby knew his stuff so I went ahead and placed my order. The complete system for my car w/ the...

    Need exhaust manifold bolt kit

Hey All, I need an exhaust manifold bolt kit. The manifolds are 71 standard 340 manifolds. They are going on a 273 if that matters. I found this kit at Mancini, but it specifies that it is for the HP manifolds. I don't think mine are the HP's. Or are all 340 mainfolds considered HP? Mancini...

    Drivers side exhaust question

Ha, didnt think I'd get that lucky. I called and they said it should work w/a 4speed. Too bad i cant get both sides as they don't make one for a magnum manifold on an a body. But why would they? Sure aint cheap, but probably cheaper than having someone local bend one up. I'd still love to...

    Drivers side exhaust question

Hey all, Getting closer to firing my car up. Yay! Exhaust needs to be handled soon. I have a set of manifolds from fabo member Treblig on my small block. It consists of a 340 manifold on the ds and magnum manifold on the ps. It is a 4 speed car. I will be tying in a Summit 2.5 inch header...

    headers for valiant

I have a 273 as well, and an aversion to headers. They always look like crap in a little while, they are hard to install, And many modles drag the ground. Yuck. I got myself a set of FABO member "Treblig" (s) exhaust manifolds. I got his 360/340 "kit" which consists of a driver side 340...

    removable exhaust

Right now a stock 273 so not much HP. Eventually a 350-400 horse 5.9 EFI Magnum. It will be a spirited street cruiser and the only reason I see to take the exhaust off is to do transmissions, weld in frame tie in's, etc. Definitely not to make more noise. The further I get into my 40's...

What is a slip joint? Is that what I am calling a band clamp? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-692250 What type of silicon do you use? Is it a paste? Do you have a brand name? Thanks! CE

    Magnum exhaust manifolds

Dunno if ALL the magnum manifolds are the same but I believe they used the same ones on 318 and 360 full size pickup trucks. They are supposed to flow much better than the LA mannies. I say use them if you have them. Headers are ALWAYS a pain in the a$$ and look like crap a year or two. Put the...
