    I have to agree with Newbomb, you should be running in the 12s easy with no nitrous, maybe a better cam, or something else is the problem.

    My Duster with a 318 that was 9.4-1 comp, Edelbrock heads and intake, NO whiplash cam, ran 11.70s 1/4 mile, it had to make around 300hp i figure.

    Some good information Thanks Have you every CC an intake? have a friend that has done many of them, very interesting to see the difference. I think everybody would be shock how big a Thermoquad intake is.

    I had a 318 in my Duster, KB pistons 9.4-1 comp with stock Edelbrock heads, cam .545 lift cam, air gap intake, 430 gears, great street car! drove it to the track, full interior went 11.70s on good day and 11.80s in bad weather. 318s run great just need to have the combo right.

    My 360 with a stock crank, flat top pistons and ported J heads, .510 lift cam went 10.60s i don't see the need to do a stroker to be in the 12s, just my opinion.

    Get yourself some 107s and you will be good on compression, i had to mill my Speedmasters down to get the comp i wanted. Have fun!

    In my experience, those old 340 pistons do not fit in edelbrock heads, or the new ones like Ross, they are for the old iron heads, Icon does make a 360 piston that does fit Edelbrock heads. Good luck

    Ultra black RTV will get you sealed up, use on the oil pan, and i never have any issues with cork gaskets
