LOWER QUARTER PANEL TO ROCKER PANEL SEAM

Also just from my experience. My first car was a 1972 Hamtramck Duster....it too had the seam leaded or covered over smooth. Sad that this attention to detail was later lost but we are talkin' about mass production economy type cars, so I understand that where they could save money they sure...

LOWER QUARTER PANEL TO ROCKER PANEL SEAM

I have an original paint '70 Hamtramck Duster and the seams are neatly leaded over and smooth, I also have an original paint '74 Duster made at St Louis and it has the seam visible where the rocker meets the quarters (kinda unsightly).... I think this was more prevalent on the '73 and later...

I have a '74 Duster and want to add a canopy style vinyl roof. I have collected all the trim that I need for this but my concern is getting the top pieces to fasten. I have the 2 small pieces for the bottom of the A-pillar, I have the drip rail pieces and I have the roof trim. What do I do to...

    1974 Duster water leak

Thanks, I have been practicing removing/installing the trim on a parts valiant car that I have. So I guess I will take the Duster's off and inspect to see what I can find. I hope it I can remedy this leak easily.....just seems like a lot of work pulling the windshield and installing a new gasket...

    1974 Duster water leak

I have a low mileage '74 Duster that has a water leak on the passenger front side. The plastic liner in the glove box fills with water when it rains and spills over onto the floor and thankfully the rubber floor collects and contains it. I eliminated the cowl opening and wiper pivot points as...

1972 valiant 4 door rust repair project

I found this car in '07 and have been driving it as my daily since. It had low 40K miles and the body was in what I considered great shape. The winter salt/brine have changed things a bit. I'd like to get it looking nice again. I like the color combo on this car. two tone white/black. painted...

how long to wait after paint before vinyl top

Wow, the factory could never wait this long when you consider the way Ma Mopar cranked them out. Was the paint baked/cured in the oven?

Can a 73 duster be modified to be a demon

You mean upset the Dodge world, right? In all seriousness, yes. The rear will look correct for a '72 except you will need to graft on the proper tail light panel specific to Demon. There will be subtle differences in the interior reference the door tops and rear sail panel as the '73 will not be...

Black Out Behind Grille- 69 Swinger

I know its not a Dart. It's my '74 Duster....don't pay any attention to the front bumper and grille support stuff, I am converting it over to look like a '72. It should give you an idea. The top of the rad support, the rectangle area was painted, black, by me. So the well defined borders that...

Sport Mirror (chrome to body color)

Well, finished up the drivers mirrors and installed it. Now all that is left to do is anchor the remote cables away from the window and drill the hole in the door to mount the remote control. It all went together pretty nice considering I thought I was opening a can of worms when I took the...

Sport Mirror (chrome to body color)

Thankyou! Here it is installed on the car and I included a couple pics of pedestal for the drivers side. It took the most time of sanding/blending because of pitting but it looks new now! For the mirror install, I made a template using the drivers side mounting points then...

Sport Mirror (chrome to body color)

Few pics of the completed right side mirror for my '70 Duster. I think it turned out pretty good! I will wait about another day to let paint dry more on the left mirror as it will need to be handled more for reassembly. Paint from a can is from Totally Auto...bought a few years ago for...

You provided some great candidates for the project. They really didn't take all that much time to get smooth and to this point. Just a bit more sanding/blending and they will be ready for B7! thanks again!
