75 Duster: Six Pack or 4bbl?

That's a judgement call only you can make. I think you already know once the sixpack is tuned it is a blast and then the nostalgia of having it when you open the hood. :) My sixpack is fun for those reasons. Once mine was tuned it has not required anything for many years. It might come down to...

I replaced mine last year, 69 Barracuda with manual 10" drums. This was as close to original I could find. It has the bolt on cover as seen at Summit. Works great! Raybestos MC36221 Professional Grade Brake Master Cylinder

Well George they said the head needs replacement and it's supposed to be a common issue for the 3.6. I'm just baffled and pissed off by the whole scenario.

Update They did another compression and leakdown test with a senior mechanic and the valve is still suspect. So it does need a cylinder head. She has spent about $4,000 Canadian to get to this point. I complained to the shop owner and he's waving the labor charges but the head is still around...

Thanks for all the replies. So far they've replaced two coils, spark plugs, still misfiring cyl #5. Replaced two camshafts, still misfiring cyl #5. I asked them to do a compression test on that cylinder before replacing that head which is the next step. Just waiting for the results before we...

Yes, the camshaft replacement was expensive. I asked if they did a leakdown, he said yes. This is a friend's shop. Ugh..

So the saga continues... the mechanic replaced the camshafts, big $$$. Two days later the engine light comes on again. We scanned the codes and it's a #5 cylinder misfire again. I talked to the shop owner and he tells me it's a bad valve and the head needs replacing now. Now i'm not a mechanic...

    Buyer beware !!

Yep saw this stuff at the parts store, very deceptive. It's a copycat of the additive Rislone makes that actually has zinc and phosphorous. Link: Hy-per Lube Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment | Rislone

anyone know where to get patch panels?

I'm not sure since it's been a while for me. I went directly there to get my parts a few years back since it had counter sales. They could be just shipping from a warehouse location instead.

anyone know where to get patch panels?

I think you have 3 choices, AMD, Goodmark, or Sherman's. Sometimes it comes down to price and parts availability. Do a forum search for pros and cons of each panel company, there are some threads here..

anyone know where to get patch panels?

Sherman's in Detroit is where I got my panels directly from in the past. Their website has changed so not sure if you can still order directly from them. Summit and Jegs are supplying their body parts though.

Yeah an extended warranty would've helped for sure! I wouldn't even attempt a repair on the new stuff either. The best part was even with all of their high tech equipment in the shop all they got was an error code for cylinder 5 misfire. They still had to use troubleshooting and a compression...

Grrr... was sent wrong type of pushrods.

Thanks Mike! I had one lifter come apart in the engine so I replaced all of them. The pushrods are the same style but oil through. I didn't see enough preload on the old pushrods so got longer lengths after measuring them.

I had to replace the lifters in my car and ordered new pushrods at the same time. I asked for LA style ball ends but got oil through pushrods. It's a stock *69 340 valvetrain. Too much trouble to return them now. I installed them anyways. Been running them for a bit as I don't think it...
