    Pinion angle movement with Caltracs...

I am sure there is a thread about this, but have not found it. I am wanting to get my pinion angle adjusted as I am sure it is not correct. In your experiences, how much movement of the pinion in terms of angle have you seen with your Caltracs with a car that will be in the high tens. I want...

    Torsion bar removal question

I bought my own tool, but you could make. It just clamps to the T bars and then you whack it with a hammer and the bars come out. Saved a lot of headaches over the years. They are made from aluminum so as not to damage the bars. You could probably search for some photos and have enough info...

What stops your steering wheel....71 Dart

I was just concerned with the fact that you can produced quite a bit of torque with the steering wheel and pressing up against the little nub on the LCA may deform it a little. I did do a disc changeover to Wilwoods, but never noted where the stop contacted before tearing it apart.

What stops your steering wheel....71 Dart

I have a 71 Dart that I changed from power to standard manual box. All new stock steering components. Just wondering on your similar car, what is the stop for your steering when turning lock to lock. Is it the steering box or where the lower ball joint bolt contacts the LCA? Thanks........!!!

    Steering turning too far??!!

Thanks......Wish I could do this. This is one of the bolt supplied by Wilwood and is a flat head socket cap screw. The original bolt had a radius on the head. Wilwood supplied me with a shorter bolt and Grade 8 jam nut, but it still contacts. Its as if something has changed since I built...

    Steering Components hitting........Help Please!

Wish I could, but it is a Flat Head Socket Cap Screw that is Countersunk into the Wilwood component. If the Lower Ball Joint was Countersunk, then it may be possible, but then I would encounter the issue of the otherside where I would need a countersunk nut.

    Help! What is this part?

You may be right. I purchased a complete kit from Just Suspension 3 years ago and it came with new poly bushings and spacers for the K member attachment, but the spacer went on the ID of the bushings, much longer and smaller in diameter. If you can find a pic, that would be great!! I don't...

    Power steering box

I have a good used one off of a 71 swinger 318. I purchased the vehicle in California and drove back to Illinois in May of 2008. No problems. No guarantee that it does not seap a little, although did not notice anything. The box is off and sitting on a bench. I am going to a manual box. PM...
