yup use a half ton of clothes dryer sheets scattered all around engine and interior same prosedure as always , but you never know if somehting got in there

battery posts were clean . clutch pedal switch has been disconnected a long time ago. battery was on a tender for the winter, done the same thing for the last 12 years and never had this problem, all lights , radio etc working , still checking out starter relay.

ok will give that advice a try and see what happens

battery is good put 4 speed in neutral ==== nothing- possible starter relay bad or orange ignition box??

rustyratrod, car is just a street cruiser no racing or beating on it. just want a coil that's going to stand up and not bum out quick. I mean I was lucky I was on a residential street, instead of on a highway with a tractor trailer on my rear end. I mean this thing just shut off.

tried 2 plugs with an inline tester, no flash - no spark. going to try another ecu box tomorrow scraped paint where box mounts to inner fender. still no start, so going with a fresh box

can an ecu box or coil bum out from extreme cold or from sitting since November? I had a 1970 duster 340 with a dual point dist.ignition and not up on the electrical ignition stuff. car cranks but no spark

as I was saying , put an inline tester in plug wire and got nothing. could a coil or ecu box just go from the cold or from sitting all winter? seems crazy to happen, still have to check cap and rotor
