    Pedal to booster rod/linkage?

Pretty sure the booster bracket is the same on my car. Just not sure what the two braces are on the right side of your photo. This is the set-up on my Duster. Just have the top nuts snugged up while I try to figure out what goes where.

    Pedal to booster rod/linkage?

Okay.. tried to install with the L facing up in top hole of the booster linkage. The rod going through the firewall will not match up to the pedal. So I flipped the linkage/rod going through the firewall to where the L was facing down. I tried both the upper and lower hole on the booster...

    Pedal to booster rod/linkage?

I am replacing this rod/linkage with a correct factory unit. The one that I am replacing had a much larger eyelet on the end that attached to the brake pedal. The larger opening on the end allowed for a lot of play when you installed the shoulder bolt? The factory rod/linkage is a bit shorter...

    Pedal to booster rod/linkage?

On the linkage or rod that goes from the brake pedal through the firewall to the brake booster. Does the linkage point up or down? The linkage/rod has angled end that attaches to the booster. Trying to figure out if the angled end points up or down. It appears there is a hole for either...

    pedal has play?

I ran out of garage time for today. I got the switch adjusted to where the lights come on when the pedal is pressed. However once you push the pedal and release it. The brake lights stay on until you pull the pedal back up, slightly. I looked at my 71 Swinger and it appears to be a bit...

    pedal has play?

Starting to look things over after getting the Duster back. I did not have brake lights so I started to track that down. Figured out it was the brake light switch not adjusted. While tracking that down I noticed the brake pedal had a lot of play. Lowered the steering column to attend to the...

    Dumb brake question.

The car was a 4 wheel drum brake car from the factory. When the car was rebuilt (all new brake parts from Dr. Diff) we went with 4 wheel disc and master cylinder. The booster was rebuilt by Booster Dewey. I am wondering if the pedal rod may be the issue? I sent an email to the shop...

    Dumb brake question.

Got an email from the guy that is checking over the Duster brakes. The car is 350 miles away so I can't look at it with my own eyes to grasp what is going on. Anyway he is asking me to locate a different rod the goes from master cylinder to the power brake booster that is adjustable ("It should...

rear disc on 8 3/4 with 15 inch wheels?

Did not know 11.7" was available for the rears? Guess it will still clear the 15 rallye wheels? Even when I called and talked to Cass, nothing was said about 11.7" rears??????

rear disc on 8 3/4 with 15 inch wheels?

What 8 3/4 rear disc brake kit are you running with 15" wheels? Trying to decide on a kit that I can install on the Duster and have the option to run a 15 inch wheel.

Anyone use products from The Ram Man?

Just watched the video for the rear disc 8 3/4-Dana brake kit. He states that they will not fit the A-body 8 3/4's?

    Rear disc brakes..anyone used these?

Looking back over the kits and the previous thread. These kits do not appear to have dust shields. Not sure if that is something that can bolted on or not. Maybe something that could be sourced locally from the parts store and bolted on???

I need to locate a complete front rotor that matches and will work with my 73 donor stuff. But it is time to sleep now!

    Rear disc brakes..anyone used these?

Not really sure if they are GM calipers or not. I searched "tomsclassic", which is the seller, before I posted the thread and found nothing. I have been looking through individual threads and found this. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=210463 Seems a few people...

    Rear disc brakes..anyone used these?

Anyone used this rear disc set-up from "tomsclassic"? I was going with Wilwoods front and rear but decided that I want to be able to run 15 rallyes that will not clear the Wilwood set-up. So I am thinking about using a stock 73 disc front set-up with the Mopar aluminum master cylinder...

    Checking brake issues

Is there a way to test the check valve and proportioning valve? I switched my 71 Dart from power drum brakes to power discs using parts from a 73 Dart parts car. The brakes will stop the car, just not very good at all. We did bleed the brakes again today and the pedal does feel better, but it...

    disc brake setups...front/rear

Just noticed that that Dr Diff kit was 13" front rotors not 11.75. I would like the option of running a 15" wheel from time to time. I do plan to make a pass or two with the car so I would like to run the 15" Billet Specialties Street Lites.

    disc brake setups...front/rear

Just curious how expensive was the Aerospace kit?? How much are the replacement pads? I am trying to find a set-up that I will have a front and rear matched sets. I see cars with cross drilled rotors and nice calipers on the front then have drums or mis-matched rotors/calipers on the back...

I am needing to get the parts ordered for my 70 Duster project. I bought an 8 3/4 that I need to convert to LBP and I would like to update to disc brakes. I am wanting to find a kit that has cross drilled and/or slotted rotors that will clear a 15" wheel (Weld Pro Star or Billet Specialties...

    Brakes not very good..... :(

Well after doing a few things.....new vacuum advance, points and condenser, dist cap and rotor, reset the timing and adjusting the idle.....pulled the Dart out of the shop and drove it down the road and back!!! I had a decent brake pedal so I guess the original booster was still good and the...

    Brakes not very good..... :(

We are going to head back out to the shop and try to figure everything out. The timing was set by the machine shop that built the motor. They tuned it on the dyno and checked it for leaks, however I will take a timing light out today and check it. I will post a picture of the carb, it is a...

    Brakes not very good..... :(

I will try that in the morning. I got tired of scratching my head so I called it a day about 8:00pm. It was one of those days today.... :) To top it off when I started the car to pull it back in the shop tonight, it was loading up horribly and even at 1/2 throttle it was bouncing all over...

    Brakes not very good..... :(

I changed the booster on the car. I put the booster back on that originally came with the car. First time I pushed the brake pedal it felt good. After that the pedal started getting soft. I see that I have a slight leak at the proportioning valve. I tightened one of the lines (I could see...
