I would drive it 'til fully warmed up and then change the oil. Probably best to change before storage.

Do a compression test. Did you prime the lifters before installing them? If you are getting spark and gas and your timing is out you will get backfiring. With no intake valves opening you will get nothing. Pull a valve cover to see if the valves are opening. Worth a try.

Just my 2 cents. I have always used Mopar filters from the dealer. I know other filters offer this and that feature but I have never had a filter problem in 38 years of Mopars.
