I do have a pan that fits. Lucky me. I think I found the reason my brain thought the 360 had a bigger rear lip. Tip of the hat to the DC boys.

Ok. 360 radius is larger than 318? Yes? Pan from 85 318 non roller 2 bbl pan has larger radius than the 360? That would make three different radius. :banghead: I have never seen this before. I was scrounging around the garage yesterday and found another set of 318 rods. They are the older ones with bushings. The beam is smaller than the newer press fit rods. The question is: use the newer heavy ones or the lighter bushed ones? Less mass is good but strength factor is important too...

If you number the cylinders the same they are the same. Messes up a ford or chebbie guy if you mentally mumble the mope firing order while you' wiring one up. They call you all shades of stupid till it fires off.

You might flood the upper engine with oil and empty the pan. They usually have plenty of oil up there. Might over oil the valve stems and cause other probs too.
